It sounds like you may need to update your residency status. To update, you will need to revisit "My info" in the Federal section and tell TurboTax that you reside in another state. First, update your Address and phone number, then when you reach, "Let's check for some other situations". Here, you select Tennessee as your state of residence.   Once you have changed your state of residency in the My info section, try deleting your Kansas state return.    On the Status of your state returns screen, select the trash can icon next to your state, then select Delete. Here is the link with those instructions.

If your income exceeds the OAS threshold of $90,997, the software calculates a repayment (clawback) amount that you must pay back. The full OAS received is first added to your income on line 11300, then the clawback amount is deducted on line 23500 so you are not taxed on it, and the same amount is added to your total tax payable on line 42200. If any tax was withheld at source (Box 22 of your T4A(OAS)), it is reported on line 43700 and helps reduce your final tax owing, often offsetting the amount on line 42200.   For more information, visit repayment of old age pension.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Thank you for the response, but combining the W-2s is not a viable solution for several reasons: Different EINs: These W-2s are from separate divisions within the same corporation and carry different Employer Identification Numbers (EINs). Combining them would cause an IRS mismatch error and is not an option. Separate Capacities: One role is salaried (Standard Time), while the other is strictly hourly (100% Overtime). This is not a 'dual role' under a single payroll record; they are distinct entries. The Root Mathematical Error Remains: The issue isn't how the data is entered; it’s the denominator the validation script uses for the 'Reasonableness' check. The Box 1 Distortion: Box 1 represents taxable wages after pre-tax contributions (401k/403b). For any employee who saves for retirement, Box 1 is significantly lower than their actual gross earnings. The Logic Failure: By using Box 1 as the denominator, the software creates a false-positive error. Example: Gross Wages (Box 5) = $100,000. Overtime = $33,333 (Exactly 1/3, which is legal). The Savings Penalty: If that person contributes $23,000 to a 401k, their Box 1 becomes $77,000. The Bug: TurboTax then calculates $33,333 \div 77,000 = 43.2\%. The Result: The software blocks the e-file because $43.2\% > 33.3\%, even though the overtime is exactly 1/3 of the earned wages. The Requested Fix: This validation script should be updated to compare the Schedule 1-A entry against Box 5 (Medicare Wages), which represents true gross earnings and does not 'shrink' based on retirement contributions. Please escalate this to the Product Integrity / Calculations Team. This bug effectively prevents any taxpayer with significant overtime and high retirement savings from e-filing.

you can just enter one 1099-INT with the total by payer, you don't need to enter separately per account.  Only payer name and box amounts are needed, they are very simple to input manually.

I just logged in to TurboTax Online on my MacBook Air and it opened into my test return, and the left side menu is there.    I recommend that you try these basic troubleshooting steps:   Log out of TurboTax Online, restart your device, and try again. For the best experience, ensure your browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) is updated to the latest version. Chrome generally works well with Mac.  Clearing cache and cookies often helps as well. Sometimes Mac users encounter a problem in that the area where they need to take an action is outside the viewable area of their screen. This often happens with the button you need to click to pay for the state e-file In that case, the solution is to adjust the Display, or attach a second monitor with more viewable area. One user suggested a minimum display area of 1024 x 768.

The distribution amount listed on your Form 1099-R should include the income and is reported in box 1 on your Form 1099-R entry. I believe you may have reported the principal distribution in box 1 and the income portion in box 2. For instance, if you over contributed $1,000 and withdrew that plus $10 in income, the entry in box 1 would be $1,010, with $10  going in box 2. So, if your income goes up $10, you withdrew the extra $10 so you should not be over your contribution limit.

The error could also be because both TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop support up to 10,000 of any combination of transactions and imports.  If your file is larger, you will not be able to import it.     Where do I enter Form 1099-B?
