TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

I have all the information entered into the Asset wks and under DISPOSITION the Asset Sales Price (Sales price of building excluding the land) and the Land sales price.  It still does not put the Land gain in Part 1 of the 4797. Please re-read my original question where is said what lines were filled in.  I believe I had done exactly what you wrote. Thanks

No one can call you from the user forum.    It sounds like you got a letter from the IRS  or state and you need to follow the instructions in the letter.   Round up the documents they want and make copies and send them to the address the letter tells you to send them to.   TurboTax does not have copies of any of those documents.   TurboTax only has the information you entered.   So it is up to you to get copies from the employer(s), the casino (or whoever issued the W-2G if you do not have it any more) , your 1099R from the financial institution that issued it (r their web site) and your 1098T from your school (or the school's web site).   As for renter's information--you have not told us what state you are in.   In some states the landlord or property owner issues a rent certificate which you will need to provide to the state to get a state rent credit.

The issue is not currency - most likely all numbers are Canadian currency. Brookfield usually prints a note:  ALL AMOUNTS are in CANADIAN DOLLARS. The real issue is that CRA does care WHERE the income is from as that is used to calculate your Foreign Tax Credit details - values are grouped according to COUNTRY CODE (often just USA and Global).

You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2025 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2025. I had to go though about 12 screens. If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups. Or request a transcript from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript Or get a copy of your return using form 4506 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

In that case, check your email's spam/junk folder to see if it might have ended up there.   You can also verify your email or change the email address if desired (using the steps below.)   You can go to your settings in your Intuit account and change or verify your email address there if it's not verified. In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account. Then once in the account choose tab Sign In & Security. See if your email address has a tiny link beside it that says "not verified".  If so, click that to verify. Perhaps once you verify it there in the account settings, it won't ask you to verify it again when you are efiling. Or you can change it to a different notifications email address, if needed.  If you do, then try to verify it within the account settings. If after all that, you still can't resolve your issue, here's how to reach TurboTax Support 5AM-9PM Pacific, 7 days/week..   FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number/00/25632   If you use Free Edition and don't have phone support, another way to reach them if you have social media is to direct message a Support agent: https://x.com/TeamTurboTax or https://www.facebook.com/turbotax

It’s so bad that it forces the user to ask an expert to remove the expert assist. Considering I’m already forced to pay for each form, it’s another corporate ripoff!

To go back to a lower version or the Free Edition you can try to clear and start over https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/how-do-i-clear-and-start-over-in-turbotax-online/00/26444 If you started your tax return in TurboTax Free Edition (Form 1040 with limited credits; roughly 37% of taxpayers qualify), you won't need to clear and start over. You can select Switch to Free Edition instead. In the Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now.  Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/upgrading/help/why-do-i-have-to-upgrade-from-free-edition/00/26379 Or try the IRS Free File program https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free A couple reasons it could be saying you need to upgrade…. You might be seeing this because of form 8959, that goes to Schedule 2. The amount of Medicare taxes withheld in W2 box 6 is not exactly 1.45% of the Medicare wages in box 5, due to rounding. I read a post that said to try leaving the cents off of the Medicare tax on your W2 box 6. Box 6 has to be exactly 1.45% of box 5 or less. If it is saying you need Schedule 3 and can't use the Free Edition it might be giving you the Retirement Savings Credit. You can say you are a student to decline the credit. You must answer Yes when asked in the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit section if your were a full-time student. The answer to this same question asked in the personal-information section is not the answer that is used.
Why did you get the 1099G?  What box is the amount in?  For a state refund you got last year or  unemployment or a grant, etc?

Are you self-employed?   If so, your business mileage goes on your Schedule C with your other business expenses.   If you are a W-2 employee, sorry, there is no federal deduction for mileage.   -W-2 employees cannot deduct job-related expenses on a federal return.  Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond.  Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.     If you are preparing a return for a state that lets you deduct job-related expenses, the information will flow from your federal return  to the state return, so enter it in Federal>Deductions and Credits>Employment Expenses>Job-Related Expenses
