Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.  Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.   STATE RETURN Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   To track your state refund:       ttps://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

I am experiencing a problem with TurboTax Premier's calculation (on a Mac desktop) of 2025's depreciation amount for my rental property.  I have managed to speak twice to Turbotax reps about the problem, and while they both apologized for the frustration it is causing, they do not offer a solution (nor a refund).  I hope they change their mind, but they seem to have circled their own wagons in order to fend off legitimate requests for help. Other attempts to get technical help from them to address this same product flaw or glitch led to me being referred multiple times to their paid Expert Tax Advice option which, in my case, would result in my being charged multiple hundreds of additional $$ in cost.   My response to that is that I am not seeking expert tax advice, rather I am seeking technical help from the owners and developers of the product to fix, or recommend a workaround for, a flaw which is fully their responsibility.   My only advice to you would be to see if you can calculate (off-line) the depreciation amount you are rightly entitled to, and then find a way to over-ride the entries that the software yields on your Schedule E Asset Entry Worksheet.

There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's and you have not mentioned what kind you are referring to.    A 1099NEC is typically issued by an individual or business for whom you performed work as an independent contractor, so seek a copy from them if you did not save yours.  Many of the other types of 1099's are issued by banks, brokerages and other financial institutions from which you can seek copies.   SSA1099 comes from Social Security.   What kind of 1099 are you missing?   ALL of your 2025 income must be entered on the same tax return.

Use forms view. Go to line 25a on form 5695. Manually select "no". Turbotax, for some reason, is leaving this checkbox blank.  Resubmit. Worked for me.

Does Turbotax answer the question that there is a software problem with matching TIN or EIN with W2G's.  Worked last year with the same information I am using and talked the party for the W2G said that the information on the W2G is currect.  Trying to get an answer if Turbotax admits this is a software problem with Turbotax.  I had to mail in my return to the IRS and now I need to wait 6 - 8 weeks for a refund.  This relates to Turbotax on Windows 11 desktop.

You will select "No, the box is blank." A 401k isn't an IRA.   If you receive the distribution of the excess deferral and earnings by April 15th then please note for the Tax Year 2026 tax filing due April 15, 2027:  2025 Forms 1099-R will be issued reporting the excess. Form 1099-R with Code P in box 7 can be ignored since you already added it to your wages on your 2025 return with the 1099-R.  However, the earnings on Form 1099-R with Code 8 in box 7 should be reported in 2026.

To figure out your RMD, look at how much money was in your account on December 31 of the prior year. Then divide that amount by the applicable IRS life expectancy factor from the Uniform Lifetime Table.    If you received a pension, it generally satisfies the requirements for RMD. Most pensions are set up to automatically pay you at least the required minimum amount each year, so you typically don’t have to calculate an RMD yourself.   However, if you also have other retirement accounts like a traditional IRA or 401(k), those each have their own RMD rules and must be checked separately.   For more information, see Retirement topics - Required minimum distributions (RMDs)

This would be self-employment income reported on Schedule C Business Income and Expenses.     You are essentially running a cleaning business as a sole proprietor.  You will use your own records to determine the total amount of income you received.  It will be reported as 'cash' income.  Then, you can also claim expenses for supplies and other items you purchased yourself in order to perform the work.     Take a look at the following TurboTax help articles for more guidance and to get started:   Where do I enter Schedule C?   What Is a Schedule C IRS form?

I am getting the same message today March 1.  I am using Mac OS version desktop and all updates have been occurring regularly.  What should I do here?  I assume turbotax will not allow electronic filing with this "error" cited during the smart review.  Any other thoughts especially from Intuit?  I did not have any problems with this issue last year when I completed a 529 to Roth transfer.   Thanks

You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected.   Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed.  Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead.    What is the rejection code or rejection message?     If it was rejected for AGI—-your 2024 AGI might not be in the IRS system if you filed late.   Try using zero instead.   If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/where-do-i-correct-my-agi-in-turbotax-online/00/26311   If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
