Schwab data for late arriving 1099's was not supposed to be available until 2/27.  PDFs for some were available earlier, but they then need to go through the process of file conversion to the various tax software company formats.   My pdf was available on Wednesday. I was able to download the data late yesterday. When you search for "Schwab" do you see two options?  I has two - the first returned forms with $0 amounts and the second imported all of my data correctly

No one can see your information.   We do not know when your refund is being issued.     Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

I received an erroneous Form 1099-K and need to back out the amount reported. According to the IRS, the amount reported should be entered on Schedule 1 , line 8z and backed out on Part II, line 24 z with a description of “received in error.”. I cannot find the worksheet to make this adjustment. The “quick zoom” tabs are not working to take me there.
Do you know if this applies to TurboTax Desktop also?

So just to summarize for folks   If your kid is a full time student (typically college kids) who made more than 5200, the 5200 question is irrelevant, however, they ask it on the first page, but don't miss the check box on the second page for full time student, that will provide the software the answer for qualified dependent.   If you had a senior, they qualify as a full time student, assuming they finished Jan-May/June.

To clarify, does this update apply to TurboTax Desktop? I need to know if CSV imports for crypto transactions will be supported in TurboTax Desktop for this tax year

I agree that it is absurd, I just e-filed my federal. Selected to not e-file the state but will use Revenue Online to file Oregon. I was on support call on 2/26 and they indicated it would be fixed by end of month and to check back on 3/1.  I decided that was unacceptable and followed the advice from a prior support supervisor that recommended Revenue Online for filing the Oregon forms.
I know I can only claim a 12 month period on each year's taxes, but wondering if I can refile, or if it is even worth it?
how can i proceed to do so, through turbotax

The IRS uses your prior year AGI to combat fraud. Make sure you take into account the information below.   You can find your 2024 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) by: Looking at line 11 on page 1 of your 2024 Form 1040 Requesting a transcript of your 2024 tax return from the IRS. You can request your transcript online at the following link: Get Transcript Please click on this TurboTax article for more information.    Check these items as well to ensure you have the correct number.  If you:  Filed late last year after mid-November or your return was processed after that time—try entering 0. Amended your return last year—make sure you’re using the AGI from your original return, not the amended one. (If you only have a 1040X form, it’s on line 1, column A). Rounded your AGI to the nearest dollar—be sure to round up when it’s 50 cents or more and down when it’s 49 cents or less. Filed with your spouse last year—you and your spouse have the same 2024 AGI. (Don’t split the AGI amount or enter  0  for one of you).   Time-saving Tip: If what you entered is correct and you continue to get a reject, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return.    This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.

We had a mini split system (electric heat pump and 2 indoor air handlers) installed in 2025. They are in addition to our main HVAC unit.  If they meet the CEE highest efficiency tier, do we qualify for an energy efficient home improvement tax credit?  Is the credit applicable to the cost of the whole system (air handlers in addition to the heat pump)?

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.    The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.   Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
