On my return you are saying only enter 4000 for box 1 of 1098-T and 0 for box 5   And then on my daughters return, follow the workaround and enter $1,186 as the amount?   I dont need to enter the 1099-Q on either mine or hers? And if I follow the above, I should be all set?

DaveF1006,   Thanks for the reply!  Well, I went through the interview process and it did make a few changes.  However, it still has the $241 amount in the MO-1040ES in Part I lines 1e for 100% of overpayment, Part II lines 1 and 2F, even though I added $627 to Part II line 2e for Amount you want to apply but it isn't summing the items, it's stuck on $241.  On the Form MO-140, it still shows my Overpayment on line 49 as $627 and the amount to be applied to 2026 taxes as $241.  The new wrinkle is now it is charging me a penalty for underpayment of $386, which is the difference between the $241 and $627.  When I investigate the penalty, it is odd.  First, I chose annualization method as I did a 4th quarter Roth conversion and fed it the appropriate income elements for doing the annualization.  However, it ignored that and is still doing the long form regular calculation with even payments required.  If it would annualize properly, there would be no penalty.  Second, there seems to be a date problem with the software.  June 15, 2025 was on a Sunday, so the proper tax payment date is June 16, 2025 yet the software is putting payments made on that date in the third quarter.  I actually mailed them on June 13, the Friday before so I changed it in the Tax Payments worksheet and the MO-2210 isn't updating for the change.  So, it seems like it's one step forward and two steps backward!

TurboTax instructions say I don’t owe county tax in Indiana because I’m a non-resident and don’t work in Indiana. This is true, but TT is calculating county tax and adding it to my return anyway. Prior to 2025, I was a resident—I left in 2024.  Now, TT is calculating county tax due on the 2025 return. I talked to their “expert” who went over all my entries and confirmed they are correct. A second “expert” suggested that I delete the State return and start it over; but I’m not confident that will solve the problem.  AI chat suggested that I file it anyway and submit an amended return!  I have my doubts about that, too. Obviously, there’s a problem in TT software, and they don’t seem interested in fixing it. Anyone have another idea?

To see what is causing your return to be rejected and find out how to fix it:   Sign in to your account Select the Fix my return button Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.   What does my rejected return code mean and how do I fix it? There are also some returns that are not able to be filed due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 6, 2026. If this is your case, after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing. @mhopkins82

If you're waiting on a Schedule K-1 that you receive as a partner, you should contact the tax matters partner from your business for notification of when your Schedule K-1 will be ready and made available to you. If you're an investor in a publicly traded partnership, you should check taxpackagesupport.com for your form(s) K-1 (prepared by PWC). You may be able to sign up for notifications from them at that link.    As a recipient of a Schedule K-1 prepared by a tax preparer and furnished to you as an investor to report on your individual tax form 1040, there is no way for TurboTax to notify you of when your tax info has been finalized.   If you're preparing Form 1065 and issuing K-1's to others, you can check your 2025 IRS forms availability in these tables. Forms 1065 and K-1 are ready for preparation and e-filing.

Hello,    This is error code is because turbo tax need to update the T777 form because CRA Canada have a new version? I cannot get a correct answer from Turbo Tax support, looks like no one on support team knows about this error. I check the personal information like 100 times and i redo the tac twice and still getting the same error message. i have used the T777 on this filing. I call CRA Canada and my information is correct and match my return.  I noticed when you to go netfile the return there is an Alert on the top of the page from Turbo tax that they need to update T777. The support person i spoke to is not aware of this Alert. My case number is [phone number removed]3.
All my info is exactly the same from my CRA. I have done this in the past and its always worked. Whats going on?

The 21 days is only an estimate and is based on the IRS averages for issuing a refund after receiving the tax return.   Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.   If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website
I was told that I have to wait till taxes are prosess before I can print them
TurboTax will not download/import the 1099 data for 2025 after I use my WF credentials to import. It is well past the time it should be available.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.
