You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them. IRS Individual Online Account Taxpayers with a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number can create or access their IRS Individual Online Account to get information they need to file their return. With an IRS Individual Online Account, people can: View balance owed, payment history and schedule payments. Cancel scheduled payments. Get transcripts. View or create payment plans. See digital copies of some IRS notices. View key data from their most recently filed tax return, including adjusted gross income. Validate bank accounts and save multiple accounts, eliminating the need to re-enter bank account information every time they make a payment. View, approve and electronically sign power of attorney and tax information authorizations from their tax professional.

Where are you seeing $0? It could be a display issue. Have you checked your state's Where's My Refund? Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

Are you amending 2023 or 2024? If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines. You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed. You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return. The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected. No, the depreciation recapture has no effect. However, the gain from any sales would add to income and that would have an effect.

CatinT1: Hi, I missed to report my 2024 income Tax information of Canada RRSP accounts, because I don't know how to place my NR4 information into my income tax return. I asked the representative to help me. They told me to use a new SSA-1099 Form, but I cannot find the new Form in TurboTax Document Form Library. Right now, I have to add the 2024 NR4 information to my 2024 income Tax Return to amend my 1040 X. and getting correct 2024 Tax income Return's conclusion. I will follow your instructions: "You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed. "...... Thank you! Yuhua

You can see the difference in your income from your original Form 1040 and your Amended Form 1040-X by reviewing the income in column B:
We're unable to see your tax return in this forum, but your taxable social security income depends on your total income. If you are single and made between $25,000 and $34,000 last year, up to 50% of your Social Security is taxable. If you made more than $34,000, you'll pay taxes on up to 85% of your Social Security. When you enter all of your income, TurboTax will calculate the taxable portion of your Social Security. (Half of your social security benefits are included in the base.)
Refer to the TurboTax articles Is my Social Security income taxable?, How does receiving Social Security affect my taxes? and When Does a Senior Citizen on Social Security Stop Filing Taxes?

To be eligible for the 2024 Tabor Credit, you must be 18 years old and file a tax return. If you do not file a tax return, you are not eligible to claim the credit.

No, TurboTax cannot send you the forms for your tax return. Take the PDF download to a friend or family member that has a printer.

New Jersey will give you a partial credit for what you paid to New York. Not the entire amount because only 30% of the New York income is taxable in New Jersey.

@Goodson5875 wrote: Hi to answer your questions the reason for the hold I was told was because I filed a Electronic return and a paper return the year of 2022/2023. Also I've spoke with the irs on multiple times and they all say the same thing that's it's processing I'll have to wait. I check where's my refund daily it only says refund received. I also check my tax records not has changed. I don't know if you have tried to enlist the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service, so that's what I would try, and if that's unsuccessful, you could contact your US Congressman's local office to see if they can help you. IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service https://www.irs.gov/taxpayer-advocate Each state has at least one office. You can look yours up here and phone them: https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/contact-us/#FindlocalTAS There's also a national office, whose contact info should be at the first link above. They are especially prone to help if there has been an economic hardship, but they are also prone to help if you stress the length of time, and that you have already spoken to the IRS on multiple occasions.
