Hello, I am using turbotax online. When I go to amend my 2024 return (under your tax returns and documents -> 2024 -> Amend using turbotax online). I get taken to a blank error screen. I have tried multiple browsers and disabled adblock, but I am still running into the same issue. Is there a resolution to this?

Yep...a bunch of folks do.   One of the helpers suggested just entering the $$ amount you are thinking of converting.....and entering that as a supposed 1099-INT, box 1 entry...(From some fictitious Bank so you remember to delete it later). That amount is taxed the same as your converted $$ amount.
Thanks so much.  I will check this out.  Seth

Yes, your spouse is your spouse.  The section of the tax law allowing medical expense deductions does not require that you file a joint return or that your spouse be a US person.   The same requirement applies that the treatment or drug must be legal in the US.

Hello Tax Experts, I would really appreciate your time and help with my tax situation.   - I have been paying Insurance Premiums (post-tax) for an Insurance Policy in India from 2005 onwards.  - After 20 years (starting this year), I have been received payments. - I kind of paid around $20K towards premiums during the last 20 years. - This year, I received around $1200 as Endowment payment.  I think, I will be receiving such payments yearly for next 10 or 20 years.  - Just as an FYI - These payments are not taxable in India.   Questions: - I assume I need to report this in my 2025 Tax return, where would I do that? - Is the income taxable?  If yes - how can I factor-in the payments I made so far.   Thank you so much.   Regards CP

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

thanks.  My primary need is for valuation of donated items such as clothing, household items, etc.  I don't input throughout the year.      So wouldn't H&R block help me with that?

@Kham wrote: Any chance that Intuit has or will change it's decision to cancel ItsDeductible?  Anything can happen, I suppose, but I can't see them relenting at this point.   One of the main features of ItsDeductible was the ability to enter donations throughout the tax year as they are made which none of the DIY income tax preparation software companies offer. Also, the import feature of ItsDeductible is similarly not replicated.    You should check out one the ItsDeductible alternatives from third-party developers.
I finally started my 2024 taxes in Oct 2025 but I don't know where to find them and/or where I left off. I'm elderly and not computer literate and I don't see them in my files. Can you please help me?

Actually--you just did what I tried to explain to you originally by going to your Mac Settings and Display.   Glad it worked for you.
