My school (against my wishes) paid for my Spring 2024 tuition in December 2023 from an account it had for me that added to my student loan obligations as a result.   I did not claim this tuition amount the university paid in December 2023 for my Spring 2024 term on my 2023 taxes, but want to use that amount now for my 2024 taxes (since the payment was for my Spring 2024 term and I did not use this paid amount to determine my LLC on my 2023 taxes).   Can I use the amount paid in December 2023 (by the school from my loan account) for my Spring 2024 term to calculate my 2024 LLC  if I did not use this amount to calculate my eligible LLC for my 2023 taxes?
Hi and thank you - I don't see "operating expenses" on schedule E. Could you be more specific? Thanks so much!

Having stocks that are flagged and need review it's because they might have missing information that either wasn't imported properly or aren't easily located within your documents. Some of these missing information could be: Cost basis, proceeds, date acquired, date sold or, description. With a copy of your Form 1099-B you can check one by one to make sure the information that was imported is correct.  If you have more than 25 transactions that need to be reviewed, you might want to enter them as a sales summary instead of fixing them one by one. Below is a link on how to remove those transactions and instead input them as a whole summary   Use summary filing

The receiver of the 1099 is the "Payee", in this case it will be you. You do not need to change the address on the 1099 section to match with what is listed there. The address listed might be an old address that the payer had when they gave you that 1099.    ** Just make sure you update your address with that company or financial institution for any future tax documents or 1099's.

The package I purchased came with an expert review. I never received it. I got bounced around on the phone to 3-4 different people. In the end, it voided me from using the expert review for my schedule c business taxes and left all the review for me to do. I also had a support agent snap on me, which I documented. I sent turbo tax information regarding all of this and asking them to give me a partial refund considering that I didn’t get all the services I paid for and also considering they sent me to the wrong people, had their employees misinform me and try to charge me more because they didn’t know how to review business taxes despite I had paid for the business self employed version… just a huge mess. I’m looking to talk to support as I don’t want to file a dispute as obviously I used turbo tax but I didn’t get help from their tax support and they didn’t even review my return, my schedule c or my business depreciation causing me many more hours of my own time that I paid for this service so I could make my life simple. I really hope someone gets back to me because after all the surveys I did and feedback I gave , you would think someone would’ve reached out to me by now. It’s very upsetting as first year user of this platform especially being a young self employed person with low income - I don’t feel the situation is fair.
No, I would wait until after the update on 4.4.25 and submit your return again.

If you do not select one, it will not let you enter your income Enter your self-employment income on the next screen Continue and on the next screen click add expenses * Please note navigation may differ slightly depending on which version of TurboTax you are using*

The following screenshot from the TurboTax program shows how the numbers are defined with respect to which number represents which filing status:       The IRS Instructions for Form 8936 do not specifically address line 5 and how it should be filled in.     As long as the corresponding MAGI limits for the 2023 filing status are applied correctly in the subsequent sections of the form, then there is nothing for TurboTax to fix.     If the limits are not being applied correctly based on the numeric entry to represent the filing status, then that would be a problem that would need to be addressed.   @monstera
