Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online? You mentioned 'Print Center' which is an online feature.
If so, in the left-side menu, go to Tax Tools > Tools, then 'Delete a Form' from the pop-up window. When the list of forms is displayed, delete Form 1116 and the worksheet. Then clear your Cache and Cookies and step through the Foreign Tax Credit interview again to let Form 1116 (and Form 1116 AMT) repopulate.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS, click on 'Open Form' and type in 'Form 1116'. Highlight it and 'Open Form'. In the entry line at the bottom (under 'Create new copy' type in 'Form 1116 AMT', then 'Add Form'. This should add the form to your return.

You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.

Did you follow the steps of Leticia and VolvoGirl above?
The refund is not affected by the method you choose to file by. Whether it is e-filed or mailed, the refund would be the same. Double check the entries at the end in the review and file section to be sure that you did not tell it to apply money to next years taxes. If you are printing and mailing, are you using the desktop version? If so, you can go to forms mode and look at the numbers, then go back and select e-file to see if anything changes. It should not, unless something is selected to redirect the refund to next year.

Even though the 1099-K inputted as personal use items - all sold at a loss - had an error that needed to be resolved. I skipped that and got to the point where I could print and submit my return. This put the entry on the first line of Schedule 1 where it belonged. Going this method rather than listing it as 1099B and doing the 8949 capital gains/loss multiple entry seems logical. I sold 40 items on ebay - all small little yard sale type stuff. It is not a business or a hobby of any kind! Intuit needs to resolve the issue with 'item needs review' with no way to fix it as a 1099-K personal use items.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

After finding an error in a return I already filed and that had been accepted, I produced an amended return in Turbo Tax before the April 15 deadline. TurboTax Premier gave me an option to file on-line which I chose. But the Turbo Tax instructions that printed out said to mail the amended return. Is that also necessary?

Interesting scenario! The usual answer is don't waste one of your four times on so little money. But, in your case you may never see the four times. Students are not eligible for the refundable portion of the AOTC, on their own return. But if he has enough income, he may still be able to use them in the future.
The 2nd thing is High school students are not usually eligible for the more generous American Opportunity Credit, unless they are officially enrolled as a degree candidate. Does what you describe count as officially enrolled? It probably doesn't matter. Money paid in 2024 is only qualified if it is for the first term (starting in Jan-Mar) of 2025. I don't think you meet that requirement.
Q. Should we claim AOTC on our tax 2024 for $450, or $950, or $0?
A. $0.
Q. Can we wait to claim 2024 1098-T with 2025 tax year?
A. No. Expenses can only be claimed in the year paid.

To clarify information previously given: The stock obtained in the non-taxable spin-off reorganization maintains the characteristics of the original company's stock. Thus the ACQUISITION date for Solventum remains the SAME as the acquisition date for 3M, and the ACQUISTION method remains the same - purchase, if 3M was purchased, or inherited, if 3M was inherited. It is true that the BASIS of the old 3M is allocated between the 2 new holdings. But it is NOT on an equal per share basis. Rather, the number of 3M shares remains unchanged, and has the basis of 84.48% of the previous basis. The number of Solventum shares is 1/4 of the number of 3M shares, and has the total basis of 15.52% of the previous basis. (These percentages are a composite of allocation numbers I have seen; they vary from source to source, but never by as much as 1/4 of 1 percent - presumably because of differing stock prices of Solventum and 3M at different points during the day of the split, which prices are the means for determining the allocation percentages.) One site that discusses the matter is: https://www.iclub.com/faq/Home/Article?id=801#gsc.tab=0 Again, the Solventum acquisition date is the SAME as the 3M acquisition date, and the method of acquisition of Solventum (e.g. purchase, inherit, etc.) is the SAME as the method of acquisition of 3M.
