The IRS is evidently backed up in withdrawing money from direct deposits. The withdrawal will likely take place eventually, but in case there is any confusion later, I would create an account at IRS.gov, and look at Payment Activity, which should show that the payment is pending. Take a photo of the screen and document it.   Also make sure that you keep a copy of the 2025 tax return, showing that the taxes due were to be paid by direct deposit. Always keep your documentation, but if you did this on time (you did when you filed), there is likely to be no problem...just don't spend that money out of your checking account until the IRS draft has occurred.
My Dependent Care FSA allows $5,000 per year and I paid over $6,600 in child care. Wouldn't the differences still count for the Dependent Care Credit?

You have not mentioned the amount of unemployment benefits you received--or what state you are in.  Some states tax unemployment.   You might or might not need to file.     Did you have any tax withheld from the unemployment?   You could file to seek a refund if you are below the filing requirement. UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION Unemployment compensation is taxable on your federal return.  You will have to enter a 1099G that is issued by your state.   Some states will mail out the 1099G.  Or you might need to go to your state’s unemployment website and use the password, etc. that you have been using to certify for weekly benefits to get your 1099G from the state’s site.   Enter your 1099G in Federal>Wages & Income>Unemployment   Go through the screens very carefully, making sure  to enter any federal/state tax you had withheld from the unemployment. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/entering-importing/help/where-do-i-report-a-1099-g-for-unemployment-or-paid-family-leave/00/26530   Most states with a state income tax do tax unemployment benefits AL, CA, DC, NH, NJ, and PA  do not tax unemployment

Very upset with Turbo Tax right now... I thought it was a reputable site to use to file taxes... I ask for no help and I had to pay $209 to file.  I feel cheated.  From now on I will not be using your site and after reading a lot of peoples post, I think that you are going to be losing a lot of customers going forward, with your scam.  You know when you ask how your are feeling while doing your taxes with happy faces, well I am very very disappointed in you Turbo Tax.  You are suppose to make life easier for the tax payer and not r*pe us.

I'd recommend mailing your April 14 Federal Amendment, so it can be viewed by a person and linked properly to your April 12 amendment, as they are so close together.  Since it can take up to 16 weeks for the IRS to process an Amendment (whether efiled or mailed), it won't cause any delay.  The amendment doesn't 'catch up' to and correct your original filing. You have up to three years to file an amendment. Make sure to keep copies of all your amended versions for tracking.     If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.   @user17760111376

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.   Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

Box 14 is a "catch-all" area. Employers can put almost anything there, and there is no universal IRS standard for the letters used in that box. Enter the "K" (Box 14 of your W-2) in the description box exactly as it appears on your paper form. Select "Other (not classified)" or "Other - not on above list" as the Category. Enter the dollar amount. While it varies by employer, "K" in Box 14 most commonly refers to: Health Insurance Premiums (often seen on S-Corp owner W-2s or specific state-level medical deductions), State-Specific Disability/Paid Leave. Non-taxable Fringe Benefits (e.g., educational assistance or moving expenses).
