Thank you for posting this. Turbo Tax does a terrible job with this aspect of the filing.
Thank you!! This method worked for me by restarting and entering my Mac password.  I''ve been using TurboTax on Macs for years but this is the first time I've experienced this crazy 'keychain' prompt.
What type of return are you preparing?    See https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-706-gs-d-1   If you received this form.

For New York State returns in TurboTax, the 8 or 10-character document number (often labeled "Doc #") is found on the back of the driver’s license, or lower right corner. Generally, you only need to enter the first three characters after "IDUSA" or, if the format differs, the first three characters of the alphanumeric code listed

This error is almost always tethered to a W-2 or 1099-R. Go back to the Wages & Income section and find the specific entry. Check the boxes for Local Tax withheld. Even if they look empty, click into them, hit Backspace/Delete, and then tab out. If TurboTax still insists on a code and won't let you file, users have found success by entering the two-letter state abbreviation (e.g., "NY" or "CA") or "00000" in the Local ID box just to satisfy the validation, provided your actual tax totals are already correct.

Are you a W-2 employee or are you an independent contractor?       W-2 employees cannot deduct job-related expenses on a federal return.  Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond.  Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.     If you are preparing a return for a state that lets you deduct job-related expenses, the information will flow from your federal return  to the state return, so enter it in Federal>Deductions and Credits>Employment Expenses>Job-Related Expenses         If you are an independent contractor you enter your business expenses on your Schedule C.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear - it keeps trying to make me sign up for it at various steps even if I have already declined it.  and i don’t want to be salty with people who are just doing their job - but considering I owe money to the federal government that is going to be used for war crimes - I am already far above the baseline of what i can tolerate.   I really need TurboTax to streamline their software and quit trying to shake more money out of me. I’m at my limit for what I can tolerate. I’ve used TurboTax for years and I’m ready to walk from it entirely at this point.

Your unused Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) funds carried over to 2026 must generally be used during a 2.5-month grace period (by March 15, 2026) or they are forfeited to the employer.    For 2026, the maximum tax-free exclusion increases to $7,500, but using 2025 funds in 2026 does not reduce your 2026 contribution limit.

Yes. Doctor concierge fees are deductible as medical expenses if they are paid to cover medical services. Medical expenses above 7.5 percent of your adjusted gross income are deductible on Schedule A (itemized deductions).    To enter medical expenses in TurboTax Online:   1. Select Deductions & Credits from the left menu   2. Look for the Medical section and select Start/Revisit next to Medical Expenses   3. You can enter the concierge fees in the area for Medical professionals fees   Here is a TurboTax blog article on deductible medical expenses for more information: What Medical Expenses are Tax Deductible?   If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.
I guess i'll leave it alone since review says everything is ok and the time is getting short unless I hear back soon. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it..
In the Print Center you have to select "Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional)".
