Just finish two 2025 returns - one comparatively simple, one more complex (5 IRA's, 2 SSN's, 2 Pensions, 20+ stock sales some with Foreign Tax). Worst User Interface in years (have used TT for 15 years.) - The "balloon buttons" are most unhelpful. - The manual entry screen for stock sales is way to small and cramped (it has been "forever"). - Foreign Tax info for Mutual Funds most unhelpful - only from the IRS Form 1116 dis I discover I didn't need to start on it at all. - Horrible instructions as to where all the varieties of Tax-Exempt Interest/Dividends will end up (AMT / no AMT; home-state tax exempt (or not, +/- AMT), what of all of these need to be totaled, and for what reason (the horrible instructions from TIAA were better than yours). This year was bad enough as it is due Trumps

I noticed a significant price increase while completing my tax return. When I started filing in April 2026, the cost shown was about $49. Upon returning to finalize my return, it increased to $143, although my tax situation has not changed.
I would prefer to complete my filing with TurboTax, but given this increase, I may need to consider alternative options.
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Andrii Tuz

You do not have to prove to TurboTax that you filed past year tax returns. Only the returns that you prepared using TurboTax software are stored in your online account.

You may be able to add your new 2025 tax balance to an existing IRS installment agreement. You can make any desired changes by first logging into your Online Account. On the payment options page, you can revise your current plan type, payment date, and amount. Then submit your changes.
If your new monthly payment amount does not meet the requirements, you will be prompted to revise the payment amount.
See this IRS webpage for more information about payment plans.

The most common reason is the Earned Income Limit. Your deduction cannot exceed the net profit of the business it is tied to. If your business shows a loss or very low profit after deducting the employer-equivalent portion of self-employment tax (Schedule 1, Line 15), the health insurance deduction is limited or eliminated.
Look at your Schedule C, Line 31. If that number is less than $3,530, TurboTax is intentionally limiting the deduction.

Is it a pension? Say all of it is the RMD. If you are the age required to take a IRA or 401K RMD it will ask you if a pension is the RMD. Say yes. Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the RMD. Traditional pensions automatically fulfill the rules of an RMD. So for the RMD question put in the same amount as box 1.

To find the cost basis of a timeshare purchased 20 years ago in TurboTax, you must locate the original purchase contract or closing statement, as TurboTax Support notes that if records are unavailable, the IRS assumes a zero basis. Your basis is the initial purchase price plus closing costs and any legally recognized capital improvements (not maintenance fees).
The timeshare company may be able to help you with this.
