You can amend your 2024 tax return. I'll give you guidance below, but first I have a question. Line 6b on your 1040 tax return is taxable Social Security. This is a calculated number. Did you go to FORMs mode in the Desktop version of TurboTax and override it? To amend a return Login to TurboTax Select Tax Home from the left sidebar. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and  Select the year you want to amend. Click on the Amend (change) return dropdown,  Then Amend using TurboTax Online.   Continue the interview, make the changes you need, and answer the rest of the questions to finish changing your return.

To manually enter the sale of private company stock without a 1099-B in TurboTax Online, you can bypass the specific 1099-B interview by following these steps: 1. Go to the Wages & Income section. 2. Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other under Investment Income. 3. Choose to enter your sales manually instead of importing. 4. When asked about financial institution or account information, you can enter "N/A" or "Not Applicable" since this doesn't exist. 5. Enter the details of your sale, such as description, dates, sale proceeds, and cost basis. 6. Specify that this is a sale of small business or private company stock when prompted. This avoids the 1099-B requirement and allows you to report stock sale proceeds accurately.

You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 12 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. @pholzworth 1040 has changed for 2025.  but did you really do a "rollover"?  if you are moving money from Trad IRA to Roth IRA that is usually a "conversion" (1099-R distribution code 2 or 7).   https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040gi.pdf Generally, a rollover is a tax-free distri- bution of cash or other assets from one retirement plan that is contributed to an- other plan within 60 days of receiving the distribution. However, a rollover to a Roth IRA or a designated Roth account is generally not a tax-free distribution. Use lines 5a and 5b to report a rollover, including a direct rollover, from one qualified employer’s plan to another or to an IRA.

Yes.  If you reported income of $200 less than you actually received, you would need to file form 1040X to amend your return and correct the error.  The IRS received a copy of your 1099-K from eBay so it does need to match what they received from eBay or the numbers still need to be reconciled to show why you reported $1,300 instead of $1,500.    In reality, there is a good chance that you will not see much of a change, if any, when you amend your return.  However, the IRS does use computer matching  so to avoid a letter from the IRS, it is best to make the correction.  How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS

@rebekkaduhen    Those folks who file early usually encounter this.  Usually because some tax authorities allow e-filing, before the actual paper forms are finalized.   To get a proper final PDF. 1)  log back into your account. 2)   For your 2025  tax filing, click on Add A State  (you won't really do so) 3)   go to the left side Print Center, and download a new PDF file.  That "should" now contain all the final forms. 4)   While you are at it, save separate "Filing" copies, and the copy with all the backup worksheets too. 5)  Then get out of there...do not be tempted to mess around in your actual tax file, or you will destroy the final copy that is archived at the end of the year.
