Federal Return was rejected. TTax indicates If Form 1040, "IRADistrbutionRolloverInd", "IRADistributionQCDInd" or "IRADdistributionOtherInd" is checked, then "IRADistributionsAmt' or 'TaxableIRAAmnt' must have a non-zero value. This return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 13, 2026. On or after this date, open the rejected return, review for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing." (ScreenShot below) Does this error indicate something the filer can correct or something that INTUIT/Employer/IRS is going to correct? Thanks in advance, Scott

It depends. If you take the standard mileage rate, the IRS considers things like gap insurance and service contracts to be part of the per-mile amount. You can list them as separate expenses if you choose the actual expense method.
If you do choose to deduct actual expenses, you must also calculate your business use percentage. For example, if you use the car for personal errands 20% of the time, you can only deduct 80% of the cost of the gap insurance. Keeping a detailed mileage log is the best way to prove these percentages if the IRS ever asks.
Here is an article you may find helpful: Standard Mileage Rate vs. Actual Auto Expense

Line 12e on Form 1040 shows either your itemized deductions or your standard deduction, whichever is higher. Because you are over 65 and filing Single, you are entitled to the higher standard deduction for your age (new senior deduction).
Although Schedule A totals $18,374, medical expenses are only deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5% of your AGI, so the full $10,669 isn't deductible. After that limitation is applied, your total itemized deductions are less than your standard deduction, which is why the software uses the standard deduction and your refund doesn't change.

Are you referring to an IRS payment? I'm confused on what payment you are referring to. It's possible your TurboTax Fees were taken out of your state refund amount.
If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return. It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment. If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:
If you filed using TurboTax Online, the Electronic Filing Instructions page will give that info.
Here's how to view the PDF copy:
Sign in to TurboTax and open your return.
On the Tax Home screen, scroll to Your tax returns & documents and select Add a State (don't worry, you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right area) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
In the menu, select Tax Tools, then Print Center.
On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year’s return.
On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2025 Federal return and Include government and TurboTax worksheets, then select View or print forms.
The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions, for your 2025 Federal Tax Return, next to Balance Due/Refund.
TurboTax CD/Download
Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.
In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst. [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.] The form will appear on the right side of the screen.
You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen.
To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.

It depends. To answer your question, IRC 125 is the federal rule that allows employers to offer “cafeteria plans,” which let you pay for certain benefits with pre‑tax dollars. These can include:
Medical FSA contributions
Dependent care FSA contributions
Pre‑tax health insurance premiums
Dental/vision premiums
Transit/parking benefits (if run through the plan)
Other employer‑specific pre‑tax benefit elections
More than likely, the $5,034 on your W‑2 is not your FSA alone. It is the total of all your pre‑tax cafeteria‑plan deductions.

Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

TurboTax Desktop treats imported brokerage statements as belonging to the person whose Social Security number appears on the 1099‑B. For joint accounts, the 1099‑B typically lists only one SSN (the “primary” account holder), even though the account is jointly owned. Because of that:
TurboTax assumes the form belongs to that person.
The interview often does not offer an ownership dropdown for 1099‑B forms.
Editing the form in the Step‑by‑Step interview usually does not reveal an ownership field.
You found the solution but I will list it anyway for your own edification.
Open Capital Asset Sales Worksheet for that 1099‑B.
Find the field labeled “Owner” or “Taxpayer/Spouse/Joint”.
Change it to:
Joint (if filing MFJ and both spouses own the account), or
Spouse (if the 1099‑B belongs to your spouse).
This is the correct and intended method in the Desktop product.
