My refund is well over the limit, and we have used the Pay with Refund option for years.   This is the first year that it says not eligible.   Is there a glitch?  As when I talked to the customer service tax experts on Thursday last week they couldn't give me a reason on why it was not available.

I’m not being impatient I’m just confused because I’ve done my taxes with TurboTax since 2018 never had an issue I get my second email, saying accepted the same day or the next day and I always fall early every year last year I filed January 20 accepted the 21st. I never have to wait days for it to get and last year there was a massive of people that had issues with their taxes with TurboTax that didn’t get accepted nor sent to the IRS, I’m in the community here and I seen the TikTok videos. I never had an issue and I don’t wanna have an issue this year. It’s not about being patient is being precautious !
Repeated loop unable to move forward.

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/why-can-t-i-deduct-my-turbotax-fees-from-my-refund/00/25621   If your refund is enough to cover your TurboTax fees PLUS the extra “refund processing” fee of $40 ($45 in CA) and your forms are ready then when you are in the FILE section you can choose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund by a third party bank, who will take out your fees and send you the rest of your refund after the IRS issues the refund.    Please make note that if your refund takes too long to arrive (IRS delays, etc.) then you will also be agreeing that the TurboTax fees can be extracted from your bank account even before your refund is issued by the IRS.  This comes as an unpleasant shock to many people every year.      If you can possibly pay your fees upfront using a debit or credit card, it will save you that extra fee and even more importantly, the possible aggravation and delays that are often the result of poor handling/poor customer service by that third party bank.  We see way too many instances where refunds are delayed for months when users choose refund processing. There have been lots of complaints; there are a number of things that can go wrong when you use refund processing.  I suggest avoiding that situation if at all possible.     And....you can never pay state tax due from a federal refund, so do not expect that.   The state tax due has to be paid directly to your state.     What is Refund Processing Service?     How can I see my TurboTax  fees?      https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/review-fees-turbotax-online/L1XnIzgzg_US_en_US?uid=m682vq7k         Please see these links for form availability dates Federal form availability   Forms availability

When you enter your income info from Form 1099, we'll ask questions about your tips. If you qualify, TurboTax will apply the deduction.    Open your TurboTax Online return and use the magnifying glass to search for "1099-nec" then use the jump-to link to go directly to that topic under Wages & Income.   Since your 1099 forms don't show tips separately, use the summary worksheet to determine your total tips. Keep these records in case the IRS has questions later.   Additional Info: What is the new tax law for tips? How do I claim the new tips deduction if my employer didn't report tips in Box 7?
as of 9:50am Eastern Time 1/26/2026 this is still not available for my downloaded TurboTax Deluxe.  I have received multiple emails saying its available but it is not.   WTH TurboTax????
I understand that and that is why I am asking the questions.    However, there is no place in the tax forms to indicate Medicate enrollment. How do I specify in TurboTax that he had both?
It works using the TurboTax online editions. You need to wait for the Form 5695 to be finalized for the desktop editions.  Should be either Wednesday or Thursday, 01/28 or 01/29.

The IRS officially began accepting and processing 2025 tax returns today, Monday, January 26, 2026. Since this is the opening day, a massive volume of returns that were submitted early are now flowing through the IRS systems simultaneously.   Sequential Processing: Returns are generally processed in the order they are received. Because millions of taxpayers submitted their returns over the last two weeks, the IRS "gate" is currently handling a significant backlog. The "Received" Status: In TurboTax, the Received status indicates that your return has been successfully transmitted and is currently in the secure IRS queue. It has not yet been "Accepted" because it is waiting for its turn to undergo the initial automated validation check.   Your colleagues were likely part of the IRS Hub Testing batches. Every year, the IRS pulls a small number of random returns a few days early to test their systems. These returns are Accepted and even processed before the official opening day.

The IRS has just opened on January 26 to accept/reject e-files.   Any returns that have been accepted before today have been accepted in small random "test" batches.  Everyone else has been waiting on the servers in "pending."   Start watching your emails now that the IRS is open.  Many e-files are on the servers so it could still take a day or two.   When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Yes.   A new, temporary additional deduction of $6,000 for those aged 65 and older (or $12,000 for a married couple if both qualify) is available for tax years 2025 through 2028. The deduction begins to phase out at income greater than $75,000 and $150,000 if you’re married filing jointly. This is in addition to the standard deduction or itemized deductions.    The senior additional deduction is automatically calculated by TurboTax and appears on line 37 of Schedule 1-A, then included in line 13b of your form 1040.   For more information, read this TurboTax article.

Payment of child support is not relevant.  Are you legally divorced from the other parent? If so, since the child does not live with you, has the custodial parent relinquished there claim for the child in 2025 by completing a Form 8332, Release/Revocation of Release of Claim to Exemption for Child by Custodial Parent?
