The questionnaire in TurboTax includes questions about your spouse in order to determine whether you both worked or whether one of you was a student or disabled. If only you worked, and your spouse didn't meet the exception for a full-time student or disabled individual or actively looking for work, then you would not be eligible to claim the Child and Dependent Care Credit. Revisit the section and review the questionnaire again.
According to the IRS, a qualifying individual for the child and dependent care credit is:
Your dependent qualifying child who was under age 13 when the care was provided,
Your spouse who was physically or mentally incapable of self-care and lived with you for more than half of the year, or
An individual who was physically or mentally incapable of self-care, lived with you for more than half of the year, and either: (a) was your dependent; or (b) could have been your dependent except that he or she received gross income of $5,200 or more, or filed a joint return, or you (or your spouse, if filing jointly) could have been claimed as a dependent on another taxpayer's 2025 return.
Physically or mentally not able to care for oneself - An individual is physically or mentally incapable of self-care if, as a result of a physical or mental defect, the individual is incapable of caring for his or her hygiene or nutritional needs or requires the full-time attention of another person for the individual's own safety or the safety of others.
See this IRS webpage for more information about the credit.
To enter dependent care for multiple people in TurboTax, navigate to the Deductions & Credits section, select Dependent Care Credit, and click "Add Another Person" to list each dependent.
Ensure you enter the total expenses for all dependents (up to $6,000 for two or more) and, if necessary, click "+ Add Another Care Provider" to list different providers for each child.

The income from your self-employed business activity will be shown net of (minus) any deductible business expenses you entered into the forms.
That's because self-employment income is taxed on the net profit amount, and not the gross/total amount of payments received. Learn more about self-employment taxes here.

When you are typing your name in the signature section, is it giving you an error?
The software is very picky with the signature section. The trick is to type your name exactly as it's shown above the signature section, including the middle initials and capitalization.
Check how your name is spelled above the signature section. Make sure you capitalize any letter as shown above, and include or remove any middle initials to match your name exactly as it appears.

If you are age 65 or older and meet the requirement, the additional deduction is automatically added on your federal tax return.
Standard deductions for 2025
Single - $15.750 add $2,000 if age 65 or older Married Filing Separately - $15,750 add $1,600 if age 65 or older Married Filing Jointly - $31,500 add $1,600 for each spouse age 65 or older Head of Household - $23,625 add $2,000 if age 65 or older

Important: This bonus deduction is temporary, lasting from 2025 through 2028. Income limitations: It phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
The amount is calculated on Schedule 1-A, Part V, with that amount flowing to Form 1040 Line 13b
Look at your Form 1040 -
You can view your Form 1040 plus Schedules 1, 2 and 3 at any time using the online editions. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

It depends, with Amazon Vine your income is the value of the products that you received to review. With your income level at about 90k and adding an additional 10k of self employment income, your tax due should be more than $200.
There are a few things that could have made your balance lower which could be that you can claimed any expenses that were related to this income. In your case, it would be your internet, the use of your computer, phone, your office space, and any other supplies that you used. These expenses lower your business income and therefore lower your tax.
Your balance could also be reduced based on credits that you received. You should review your return. First check your entries to see how you entered your Amazon Vine income, to review your form go to the 1099-NEC screen under Wages & Income. You also have the option of previewing your return your self or requesting an Expert Review.

The TurboTax employees that answer the phones have no info on the form 5695. I do not understand why they are not trained correctly. Very poor customer service. I tried to speak to the next level up and they said they could not get anyone. 1. Why do they send out emails that the from is ready for a desktop when it is not. 2. Why aren't the employees at TurboTax trained correctly to deal with this issue. I have been using this product for a long time, and I have never had issues like I do this year. I cannot even email support for help.

Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section step 2 to enter/change how you want to receive your refund. If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.
If you e-filed:
Banking information for direct deposit is wrong or closed
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information
https://www.irs.gov/faqs/irs-procedures/refund-inquiries/refund-inquiries-18
If your refund is sent back to the IRS—- make certain that the address you entered on your Form 1040 is correct. And…open all mail, even if it looks like junk mail.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY? I WANT THE FREE EDITION
The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now. Thanks to the tax laws that began for 2018 returns, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's. Everything goes on a Form 1040 that has three extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition. Using the standard deduction instead of itemizing does NOT mean you will not need any of those schedules. If you started in the Free Edition and entered any data that required any extra forms or schedules, you have to upgrade to a paid version and if you are watching the screens carefully you are alerted to the upgrade.
TurboTax Online: Important Details about Filing Simple Form 1040 Returns
If you have a simple Form 1040 return only (no forms or schedules except as needed to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit or student loan interest), you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic at the listed price. Roughly 37% of taxpayers are eligible.
Examples of situations included in a simple Form 1040 return (assuming no added tax complexity):
W-2 income
Interest, dividends or original issue discounts (1099-INT/1099-DIV/1099-OID) that don’t require filing a Schedule B
IRS standard deduction
Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
Child Tax Credit (CTC)
Student loan interest deduction
Taxable qualified retirement plan distributions
Examples of situations not included in a simple Form 1040 return:
Itemized deductions claimed on Schedule A, like charitable contributions, medical expenses, mortgage interest and state and local tax deductions
Unemployment income reported on a 1099-G
Business or 1099-NEC income (often reported by those who are self-employed, gig workers or freelancers)
Stock sales (including crypto investments)
Income from rental property or property sales
Credits, deductions and income reported on other forms or schedules

On Form 8283 Noncash Charitable Contributions I am being prompted for the following: Enter the entity name and identifying number from the tax return where the Noncash charitable contribution was originally reported, if different from above. It then asks for the Name and identifying number. What are these and where do I find them? I have never seen this before.
