@happyras  There are ways to get the Desktop program from partner sites.  I just tried Fidelity and wrote down the steps.....   You have to get the Fidelity by starting on this page. If you are not already logged into Fidelity it will give you a log in box. https://www.fidelity.com/accounts-trade/turbotax-discount That will give you the page for Online Turbo Tax. To get the Desktop program….. Click the green Start filing with TurboTax and save 25% button (or whatever percent you get) It brings up the Fidelity Save 25% Get Started page Leave that page and tab open Then in another browser tab go to the Turbo Tax Desktop page here https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download

After manually entering the 1099-R information in 2025 TurboTax Deluxe desktop version, TurboTax did not use the 1099-R data until, I saved the file, closed the file and then reopened it.  Why was that required to get TurboTax to use the data?  No clue...

i just want to pay for, get a license key and download turbotax for my PC. i do not want to "start for free". i do not want to go buy it from an "authorized retailer". i assume from the lack of clarity on the TT website it's not possible to buy the product directly from TT unless i go the "start for free" route.
On desktop version, manually entered info on forms....not captured in my current year ....
I agree, need access to forms online.   Why isn't the 1099R section already completed!?  21Jan2026 is too late!
Same issue with desktop even after entering info on forms.....please advise.

Go back to the My Info section to review your entries.   You can click on Revisit under the Personal Info section.   The page titled About Your Household is where you will find the questions related to your filing status.      What is my filing status - FAQ   You may qualify for more than one tax filing status. For example, a single (unmarried) person isn't necessarily restricted to single filing status. They may be able to file as Head of Household or Qualifying surviving spouse, assuming those qualifications are met.   Likewise, someone who was legally married as of December 31, 2025 could file as married jointly, married separately, or Head of Household (again, if they meet the qualifications). If more than one filing status applies to you, we'll choose the one that gives you the biggest tax break.

1. The KS child and dependent care tax credit is linked to the federal dependent care credit. Check your federal return for dependent care credit. Look at your federal return, sch 3, line 2 for your dependent care credit. You should see 25% of the federal value on your KS return.  2. No. It is a refundable credit for KS to increase your refund. 3. Yes, the dependent care credit on federal does increase your state refund.

A year has gone by and the QEF web UI still isn't working properly - continuing problems:   1. Sorting on Payee Name still does not work. 2. Still no way to see more than 10 entries at a time. 3. Still no way to sort Payees before printing 1096 - ability to alphabetize would make finding, filing, printing, sorting, mailing so much easier  4. When printing 1099 Copy B for client, addresses still get cut off after 31 characters, with no indication of that in the web interface - if the limit is 31, make that the limit in the Payee screen. 5. The "Feedback" links at top and bottom of page still don't go anywhere! That's just passive aggressive - send a click somewhere useful or remove the links. 6. Clicking ANY print link in Vivaldi/Chromium browser creates a "blob" url (ex.:blob:https://quickemployerforms.intuit.com/[longnumber]) that doesn't open the PDF nor even allow it to be downloaded.   Is anyone from Intuit reading these posts and passing to the developers?
Have you entered any information that would lead the program to believe that you are in Canada?  I would double check the address that you have entered.

The best way to enter multiple 1098s due to a refinance is to add them together - to create one 1098 out of them.  The amount of the property that is financed should just be one number since the two forms are for the same property.     I would advise you to amend the tax return and go back through and delete the 1098s that you originally entered and replace them with the one combined 1098.  This should give you a correct value and show the amount that you should have paid.  Filing that return and paying the taxes due will solve the problem (although you may still receive a bill for penalties and/or interest from the IRS).

Maybe, but it is technically a tax credit, not a deduction.    Under the Residential Clean Energy Credit, you are eligible for a credit equal to 30% of your total system cost if the system is installed and operational by December 31, 2025.   To qualify for this credit: Your system must have been installed and ready to use by December 31, 2025. You must own the system (purchased with cash or a loan). If you are leasing the panels or have a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), you cannot claim the credit. It must be install on your main home or a second home you use as a residence.  The credit is Non-Refundable but can be rolled over.  This means if you owe $10,000 in taxes but have a $16,500 credit, you will only be able to use $10,000 of the credit this year. However, you can carry over the remaining $6,500 to the next tax year (2026) to reduce your taxes then.   See this TurboTax article for more information.
If you e-filed the 2025 federal and state tax returns at the same time, they are both Pending until the IRS starts accepting federal tax returns on 01/26/2026.

Are you trying to print Schedule SB? If so, the print version of this Schedule will not be ready for another week or so.    Please see this link "TurboTax Forms Availability" to follow the estimated due dates, (which can change so check often).   Otherwise, do you have any entries in Schedule SB on lines 12 through 15? Entries on these lines can cause the value on line 16 to go to zero.   The Wisconsin instructions state "If you (or your spouse if married and filing a joint return) were at least 67 years old as of December 31, 2025, you may subtract retirement income from a qualified retirement plan or individual retirement account (IRA) that is federally taxable and has not been removed from Wisconsin income on lines 12 through 15 of this schedule."

What did your original return show?  Did you include the foreign income on the original return or did you take a foreign tax deduction? If you claimed a deduction and are switching to a credit, you are correct, you have 10 years to claim the foreign tax credit and any refund that is due to THAT CREDIT ALONE.   If you claimed any other credits or made any other changes (such as correcting your reported income) these changes would be limited to the 3 years.  The 10-year period applies to claims for refund or credit based on: "Fixing math errors in figuring qualified foreign taxes, Reporting qualified foreign taxes not originally reported on the return, or Any other change in the size of the credit (including one caused by correcting the foreign tax credit limit)."
