TT does NOT warn you there is a processing fee if you choose to pay your filing fee from your refund! But, if you do choose to pay filing fees from your refund, you will incur the "processing fee". To avoid this extra fee, choose to pay with a CREDIT CARD - you will avoid the additional Processing Fee. Would be helpful if TT stated this before you make a choice.

If you cannot locate your 1040 in TurboTax, it is likely because the return is either unfinished, rejected, or you are logged into a different account than the one used to file. TurboTax only generates a final 1040 form after all sections are completed and the return passes the final review.   You may have accidentally created a new account. Use the Intuit Account Recovery Tool with your phone number to find all accounts associated with you. A full browser cache can make PDF forms appear blank or missing.  ‌Please click here for instructions on how to clear your cache. Please click here for instructions on clearing your cookies. Make sure that you have completed the "Federal Review" section completely. If it is not finished, the 1040 will not generate.   You can also get a copy form the IRS. If you don’t already have an account on IRS.gov, you will be asked to create an account and validate your identity. You can use this link to sign in to or create an online account Online account for individuals. Then you can request a transcript. You can view, download, and print transcripts for the current and three prior years.   Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

Tru,e but the steps are the same to get the depreciation entered on the NJ return. It should trigger the GIT DEP  showing $0 for federal depreciation and $138 for NJ. You may want to keep a copy of the GIT DEP with the permanent tax file.    I am concerned this means you are not able to edit the rental and make the adjustments. If you are using the online program and failing, you need to switch to desktop. No, you need the information requested to do an import. If you have a final pay stub you can use that and create a substitute W-2. You have some options. Try to make contact with the employer so the steps below are just to give you the full list.  If you have all the necessary data from your final paystub you can create a substitute W-2.  You will have to mail your tax return.   If you still want to file:  TurboTax will help you fill out a substitute w-2.  You will need your last paystub and employer information. How to fill out a substitute W-2 (Form 4852) Go through the W-2 entry section and enter the information from your last paystub. On the follow-up pages look for the page titled "Do any of these uncommon situations apply to this W-2?" Select "Substitute form - I didn't get a W-2 from my employer and need to complete a substitute form." This will take you through the steps to complete the Form 4852 so you can file your return. Continue to follow the screens and enter all requested information Other steps you can take if you are unable to obtain a copy of your W-2 from your employer are listed below. Step 1: Contact your employer’s payroll provider, if applicable.   Did they use a service for preparing your wage statements?  Info can often be found on your wage statement (paycheck stub). If the employer is no longer in business or you can not reach someone: Step 2: Call the IRS for assistance at 800-829-1040. When calling, be ready to give the following information: Your name, address and Social Security number. Your employer's name, address, city, state, zip code and telephone number, even if your employer has gone out of business. Dates of employment. An estimate of the wages you earned and the federal income tax withheld.  Your estimate should be based on your final pay stub of the year or earnings statement, if available.  The IRS will call the employer or payroll provider and advise them to send you your W-2s. Step 3: Request or download Form 4506-T. You will receive W-2 transcripts which will have information reported by your employer to the IRS free of charge. The last four of the EIN will be present (not the full number)  This transcript is available for up to 10 prior years using Get Transcript Online or Form 4506-T.You may register to use Get Transcript Online to view, print, or download all transcript types listed below.  If you're unable to register or you prefer not to use Get Transcript Online, you may order a tax return transcript and/or a tax account transcript using Get Transcript by Mail or call 800-908-9946. I think TT caches the userID of the person logging into the financial institution. So next time the same user id is used to download it erases all previous downloads for that user ID. Hence the granularity is at these two levels Financial Institution -> user ID It does display the different accounts that the userID is associated with and allows you to choose which accounts you want to download. However this last level is not saved in the cache and hence next time you use the same user ID it just erases all previous downloads for that userID/bank
Not sure what you mean by line 12. You don’t need any code at all for Medicare tax withheld on a W‑2. For W‑2 Box 6, you simply enter the dollar amount on your tax form—nothing else.
