I'm in agreement, TurboTax does suck. Later year, I paid $36 for Deluxe edition. My tax situation didn't change for this years 2025 return. Forced to pay $129 (after a $10 discount for submitting on 3-31-2026) for Premium. And, I just checked my payment to the IRS status, and it failed. Indicating incorrect Banking information that I filled out on the form. Good thing I checked! wtf? I'm just going to use them anymore and if I'm penalized for making payment one day late, it'll be on!

To resolve this message, return to Schedule E and edit/review Carryovers, limitations, at risk info, etc. under Less Common Situations. If you had no carryovers on your Schedule E last year, enter zero for all boxes (don't leave any blank). Otherwise, enter the carryovers that were reported on Schedule E last year. Finish the interview. Then run Federal Review again.

I am assuming you are talking about state credits for home heating and property tax. Which state?
You do not need to file a federal tax return for her since she only gets SSI. She would not have any taxable income and would not be eligible for any type of tax refund (assuming she has nothing withheld) as there are no credits available for someone without taxable income at this time.

There are question within the state amendment that will ask the amount of your original refund.
If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.
You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment
Select your product below and follow the instructions.

Same problem and now I can't file an extension on time. I've used TurboTax for years and never had this problem. I know you want us to move online but this isn't the way to do it 😉

You would need to contact the state taxing authority to find out what they have for your bank info. It is very possible that it just has not been processed yet as it can take a few days to do so.

@SteamTrain my issue is exactly as you detailed. The bug still exists. I was able to get around this by ensuring Wages were correct in the next screen in the "Income Allocation" section.

If you have ESPP sales, you wouldn't want the cost basis to match what you received on Form 1099-B, you'd want to manually adjust it so that you avoid being double-taxed in both your W-2 for the ESPP discount benefit, and on your capital gains for the full gain on the stock sale.
