I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. Please notify me by adding @AmyC to your response. If I discover a solution, I will reply. Otherwise, it will be moved on to an investigation team. You can send a token to me by following the directions below: TurboTax Online: Sign into your online account. Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen. A drop-down will appear. Select Tools On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.” This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response. TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions: Open your return. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created. Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.

the most obvious thing is that it is a wash sale - code w in column (f) and an adjustment amount in column (g) to wipe out the loss.

On my return (on a Mac computer), the line 24 of that form is stuck on 25% even as I paid some of the estimated tax for each quarter. There is no way to change it as 10% is not available. Only way is to override it at the cost of not being able to e-file. I closed the return and restarted TurboTax to no avail. Please help Thank you

If you're not receiving the email with the code to finalize your taxes, check your spam or junk folder first. Make sure the email address in your TurboTax account is correct and up to date. Sometimes email delivery can be delayed, so wait a few minutes and check again. If these steps don't help, trying to resend the verification code from the TurboTax interface may be useful.

Does the FI partner with TurboTax? If so, they will be listed when you go to the 1099-B section to import. PDF and CSV can't be imported. If they are listed, it's not a TXF file. Rather it's a file that is imported directly from the FI into your return. There is no download to import.
To import your 1099-B into TurboTax Online for 2025, follow these steps: Open or continue your return in TurboTax Online. Go to the 1099-B screen under Wages & Income. Navigate to Federal Taxes and then to Wages & Income. If prompted, select I’ll choose what I work on. Under Investment Income, select Start or Update next to Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other. Follow the onscreen instructions to import your 1099-B. When you reach Let's import your tax info, choose how you want to enter your 1099-B: to import your form, select your brokerage or financial institution from the list, enter your sign-in credentials, and select Get my form. If you want to enter your 1099-B manually, select Type it in myself. 1
If your financial institution is not a preferred TurboTax partner, you can upload the forms from your computer or type it in yourself. TurboTax Online allows you to import up to 1,500 transactions from your financial institution. 1
For more detailed guidance, you can refer to the TurboTax support page or watch instructional videos available on platforms like YouTube.
if import is not possible, you can manually enter summary totals coded with an M and then use Form 8453 to paper file the form with a copy of the 1099-B
read the 8453 instructions

I was as frustrated as you with the replies. I know it is on line 11 of the 1040, but you have to be completely done to get that number. I need to get the MAGI from my dependents to finish mine and vs versa, so I am trying to jump to the 1040 form like you used to be able to do with TurboTax, but can not figure it out this year.

If you have multiple 1099-DIV forms from the same institution, you should enter each form separately in TurboTax. Don't combine the amounts from two or more 1099-DIV forms from the same payer. Each form must be entered on its own to ensure accurate reporting of your dividend income.
To enter multiple 1099-DIV forms separately in TurboTax Online, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Wages & Income section. 2. Find the question about investment income and select Yes. 3. Choose Add Investments or go to the 1099-DIV entry area. 4. For each 1099-DIV form, select Add a 1099-DIV and either import or manually enter the details exactly as they appear. 5. Repeat this process for each 1099-DIV from the same or different institutions. Be sure not to combine amounts from multiple forms into one entry. Enter each form separately to maintain accuracy.

A common reason could be the Foreign question. Go back through the Social Security questions. There is a screen asking if you lived in a foreign place. People have been answering it wrong or skipping it. And it is for each spouse. Answer should be No. Also check if you ssn is valid for employment under My Info or Personal Info. That can affect many things. Needs to be yes. And May I ask why you are filing MFS and not Joint? MFS is the worst way to file.
