This is a known issue in TurboTax and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. As soon as we have a resolution for you, we will update you in this Community thread.   In the meantime, have you tried deleting the Schedule E asset with the form error? You should be able to re-enter the asset using your asset entry worksheet from last year and possibly resolve the issue preventing you from filing your return.

It depends.  Based on what you are saying you received no benefit, products or cash for helping the union in any way. If this is true you can keep the 1099-MISC in your tax file without making any entry.  Enter the 1099-MISC and Be sure to select No this did NOT involve work and No it did not involve an intent to earn money Enter Other income as a negative number to cancel out the income. Sign into your TurboTax Online account Go to Tax Home (left panel)  Wages and Income  section Scroll to  Less Common Income > Select  Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C Select Other reportable Income > Enter a description (----) and the amount as a negative (-10) Keep the details about what it is for and why you did not claim the income on your tax return should you need it later.

The timing is interesting.  ItsDeductible used to be a separate product.  Probably a separate, old codebase nobody wants to maintain. Could it be that ItsDeductible wasn't compatible with the Windows 11 update Intuit forced on us, so they just dropped it rather than update it?

If TurboTax keeps telling you that you need to review your estimated tax payments, you can go back to your estimated tax entry screens in TurboTax and review them again. Try deleting them and re-entering them as this may also clear the suggestion by TurboTax to review your numbers.   To do this, you can use the following steps.   For TurboTax Online and Mobile Continue your return Go to the Estimated Tax Payments section For TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to estimated tax payments Review your TurboTax entries for accuracy   For TurboTax Desktop Continue your return. Go to the to the estimated tax payments section Click on the "Deductions & Credits" tab  Scroll down to "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid" Click on" Start" Review your TurboTax entries for accuracy Also, try logging out of your program and logging back in and clear your cache and cookies. Click here for How do I delete cookies? Click here for How to clear your cache.   If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can switch to "Forms" mode (by clicking on Forms at the top right of your TurboTax screen), and scroll down your forms in the left panel of your TurboTax screen to find the "1040 Wks" or "Estimated Tax" worksheets, and verify that the data has populated correctly.    You can delete and re-enter the payment if the form appears to be incorrect.   If everything appears to be correct, ignore the "needs review" message and proceed with filing. This message doesn't usually stop you form e-filing.   Click here for information on entering your estimated tax payments.   Click here for additional information on "How to Determine What to Pay and When" Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

No, you generally should not guess if you have a way to obtain the dates.  You can use mortgage statements, bank records, closing documents or county records.    Is this your primary home or a second home?   If you absolutely cannot obtain the dates, then you can enter your "best estimate".  The actual date does not matter as much if you have owned the home for many years as it does if the actual dates are close to changing how it is taxed.    For your primary home, in order to qualify for the home sale exclusion, you would need to have lived in the house for 24 months out of the last 5 years.  If your time is close to that then, you may want to do additional digging (mortgage origination date or property information at the courthouse) so you do not claim an exclusion you are not eligible for or so that you do not, not claim an exclusion you are eligible for.     If this is a secondary home that you are entering as an investment, the one year date matters.  If you owned ii for more than a year it is a long term capital gain sale which has different (generally better) tax rates than the short term sale which is taxed at your ordinary income rate.
