Some of my mutual funds are reporting Income in 2025 from Federal Obligations. After importing the information from my brokerages consolidated 1099 forms, I carefully calculated and then entered these amounts for each fund. However, the total amount is not showing up in my Colorado Tax return on form 104AD line 2 as it has in previous years. And, it is apparently not being subtracted from my Colorado Income. Is there some explanation for this? If this is a Turbo Tax issue as I suspect-- is there a work around?

See About Publication 544, Sales and Other Dispositions of Assets to learn what to do and then it is reported on About Form 4797, Sales of Business Property. You only want to use your % of business basis, % business deductions and % business sales price. It sounds like maybe a full price is being used in your calculations. Just use the business % for each business. Another idea: select that you converted the vehicle to personal use and then enter the sales percentages under other property sale for the business.

As a court appointed personal rep filing an original return for the decedent you should not need to file a 1310.

If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.
You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment
Select your product below and follow the instructions.

I'm using TurboTax Online 2025 for my business taxes. Everything is fine in my final review except for one item on my New York City S-Corp forms: "NYC-4S, 1-2: Preparer Code does not match any of the preparer codes entered on the Preparer's Information Worksheet." I can't get past this error to actually file my taxes, no matter what I try to enter in this Preparer Code box (which as far as I can tell is internal to TurboTax and doesn't even appear on the final printed form). A couple of TurboTax tax experts have suggested putting "10" in the box (employee of business), but that doesn't work. (By the way, I never saw a Preparer's Information Worksheet.) I would just print the forms, mail them, and pay by check, except I believe I'm legally required to file this particular return electronically. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Were you able to get past it?

When is this expected to be fixed? I reviewed with an agent and everything is entered correctly, but in the "Wages & Income" section, Health savings account distributions are entered but the form still says "Start". And in the "Deductions & Credits" section, "HSA and MSA contributions" has no values (just a "-") and "Start". This and another glitch are holding me from filing right now.

kebell50 - Agreed on all you say. Besides this specific problem, TurboTax support has really fallen off pretty badly. I'm not overly impressed with the competition either. Regards, Mike O'Brien

@dmertz I think they need to change the wording to Jan 1, 2027. For a lot of items the IRS considers if you are born on Jan 1 it counts in the prior year. Like if you were born before January 2, 1961 you get the new extra 6,000 Senior Deduction for 65 and older even though you don’t turn 65 until 2026.
