Feb 24 and TurboTax has totally failed.  As a TurboTax user for well over a decade, it looks like I will be leaving this service.  Trying to reach a human is a total joke and the pathetic AI helper tells me information totally not regarding my question and then having to wait for ever on hold is maximum poor service for expensive tax software.  This has clearly become a company paying its executive to much money at the expense of its users.  Maybe Tutrbo Tax and step up and provide all its farmers highly discounted tax filing this year!
I see the final IRS calculation is as shown in turbotax---I was looking at a draft calculation.

When you enter information in TurboTax, you should be making your entries in "Step by Step" mode and not in "Forms" mode.   If you had used "Step by Step" mode for these interest entries, the "State where the dividends were earned. Postal code (such as "CA" or "NY")" would be coded XX and the allocation of the non-resident state interest would have appeared correctly on AZ Form 140 line 15.  If all the dividends came from one state, that state code would be on that line, but because the dividends came from multiple states (including the resident state), that line would need to be coded XX.   The top set of data with code AZ would be OK, but the next two dividend entries should have code XX in the "State where the dividends were earned" line.  When you do this, this should correctly allocate your dividends between AZ and all other states, with the other states dividends appearing on line 15 of AZ Form 140.

Just wanted to double check. I checked that link and currently that Form 8915-F (Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments) is currently unavailable. I am using the desktop version for automatic updates and I also check manually as well. So, it appears a waiting game until a finalized form becomes available.

If your parents claimed you as a dependent on their return for the past 4 years, then you could ask them.  If they did not you can do this by looking at your tax returns for the past several years.  Look for form 8863 with each of your returns.  You will see a number in Part 1 if you received the American Opportunity Tax Credit.  This credit is limited to 4 years.   If you cannot find or do not have  your prior year returns, you can request your transcript from the IRS to see which credits you received.    TurboTax would not flag this as it does not know how many years you claimed the AOTC or if your parents  have claimed it for you previously other than if you told it.   As you are walking through the steps to enter your 1098-T, the program does ask if you have claimed the credit in previous years.  This would apply to your parents claiming it for you as well.  In general, if you have been in school for more than 4 years, then you probably used up the 4 years that you are allowed to take it and then you can switch over to taking the Non Refundable  Lifetime Learning Credit.   This credit is available for as  many years as you are in school at an eligible educational institution.  There is not a limit on the Lifetime Learning Credit.
