I have few deductions and would like to explore whether using standard or itemizing would be best for me and how TurboTax can help me do that ? Would it be beneficial for me tax wise to pay off my  $100,000 mortgage at 3 7/8 interest rate if using the standard deduction?

We have tested QBI Passive Loss carryover from 2024 but are unable to reproduce the experience you have seen. It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2025" file to test this issue further.   If you would be willing to send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information, please follow these instructions:    In TurboTax Desktop, open your return and go to Online in the TurboTax header. (On a Mac computer, choose Share or Help.) Choose Send Tax File to Agent. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click Send on this screen and wait for the Token number to appear. Reply to this thread with a screenshot of your Token number (this avoids Community filters for numbers with a dash) and tag (@) the Expert requesting the token from you. Please include any States that are part of your return - this is VERY important. We will then be able to see the same experience you are having. If we are able to determine the cause, we'll reply here and provide you with a resolution.

why is my refund taking so long?
Do you know what the maximum income level is to not have to pay taxes on Social Security benefits?
It wasn't, on there last year or the year before my husband was born and raised in the United States his parents as well.
To clarify, Is the sale of your Nividia stock factored into the $95000 amount you mentioned earlier?   @addicted2

If you qualified for 2 withholding allowances based on your entries for 1a, then you can enter "2" in 1c, total allowances you are claiming. This would reduce your withholding:   Line 1 - Allowances: 1a: Enter total allowances from Worksheet A (Regular Withholding). 1b: Enter allowances from Worksheet B (Estimated Deductions), if applicable. 1c: Enter the total of 1a + 1b.   Each allowance claimed reduces the amount withheld. If you have other significant sources of income, you could choose to reduce the withholding on one or more of them instead if applicable.   See this California FTB webpage regarding withholding.

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser. Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax?
I would imagine that is a TurboTax limitation.

Follow these steps: Open to your IL return Continue through until you see take a look at IL credits and taxes Locate IL earned income credit, Start/ enter 'update /revisit The program will then state that you do not qualify for IL EIC. While in that screen, switch to FORMS mode If you are in the IL EIC, great.  If not, go to the top left Open Form, select IL, select EIC and open Look for pink boxes showing an error and correct them. Return to step by step and try review again. I have created a return that does not qualify for EIC. The IL EIC form is showing in my return. Each child has a box checked for eligible, since the children are qualified to get the credit, just the parent is disqualified due to income. If the issue persists, please contact support.  @jsmchi
I have the same problem, but I am trying to input a 1099-MISC.  I put it in and it shows up, but when I go to the total income it is missing.  I had the same problem on last years return.

I tried all of that. It was still rejected. I ended up mailing it. Unfortunately, TurboTax still charged me to eFile a return that I had to mail. Frustrating.
So my taxable income goes from $75,000 to over $1,500,000? Ouch.

First, check to see if you signed up for the TurboTax Refund Advance. You can look in a few specific places in your account or your email.    Check Your TurboTax Order Details On the Tax Home page, scroll down to the section for "Your tax returns & documents." Select View Order Details. Look for "Refund Advance" or "Credit Karma Money" listed under your payment and refund methods. If it’s not there, you likely selected a standard direct deposit or a different refund option.   Look for Confirmation Emails If you applied, you should have received automated emails from TurboTax and its partners. From TurboTax: Search for an email confirming your "Refund Selection." From Credit Karma: If you were approved, Credit Karma sends an email when the funds are deposited into your Credit Karma Money Spend account. From WebBank: If your application was denied, you will receive an email from WebBank (the lender) explaining the reason for the decline.   Check Your Credit Karma Money Account Because the Refund Advance is deposited into a Credit Karma Money™ Spend account, checking that account is the fastest way to see if the loan was processed. Log in to your Credit Karma account. Navigate to the Money tab. If you see a pending or completed deposit for a portion of your refund (typically between $250 and $4,000) shortly after the IRS accepted your return, that is your Refund Advance.   Review Your Tax Return Summary You can also find clues on your actual tax forms: Open your 2025 return in TurboTax Go to the Tax Tools menu on the left Select Print Center View your Federal Information Worksheet Look at the "Direct Deposit" section If you signed up for the advance, the bank account listed will be the MVB Bank account associated with Credit Karma, rather than your personal bank account.
Try opening your 2024 Home & Business program and re-saving your .tax2024 file to your desktop for transfer into your 2025 program.   @theoodcrew

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund, but if the IRS says they are releasing your refund tomorrow, I don't know why you think it would be funded today.   The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.   Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
