filing jointly but don't see where I owe my spouse
I agree.  We've already paid for the product. I presume TurboTax/Intuit just doesn't want feedback. I'll be looking for an alternative next year after the 20 or 30 years I've used TT.
This TERRIBLE! I can’t talk or chat to a live agent! The only number does not allow me to speak to live agent.  Can’t speak to anyone regarding a purchased return.

If you have Turbotax installed on your computer from a CD or download, you can prepare as many returns as you like for family, as large as you do not charge a fee.  Each return is a separate document, like having more than one spreadsheet file.  However, you can only e-file up to 5 returns.  More than that, and you will have to print and mail them.  This is an IRS limit, not a Turbotax limit.     You should not try to install more than one copy of the Turbotax program -- strange things have been known to happen.  And you don't need to.

You can deduct alimony paid to a former spouse as long as the divorce or separation agreement was executed by December 31, 2018.  If it was executed after that date then spousal support (alimony) is not deductible on a federal tax return.   To enter alimony paid - Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business) Click on Deductions and Credits Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Scroll down to Other Deductions and Credits On Alimony Paid, click the start or update button

I installed turbo tax 2025 desktop on 12/3/2025 at that time it recognized my license key and worked.   But today when I tried to access it, it no longer recognizes the license key.   How do I get this to work as there appears that Intuit no longer provides an manner to connect anyone in support.   It's a shame as I've been using this software for 20 years, and if I can not get this to work, I guess I'll have to use another tax product

When was the divorce finalized? From the IRS Deducting alimony paid. Alimony is deductible by the payer, and the recipient must include it in income if you entered into a divorce or separation agreement on or be- fore December 31, 2018. Alimony paid is not deductible if you entered into a divorce or separation agreement on or before December 31, 2018, and the agreement is changed after December 31, 2018, to expressly provide that alimony received is not included in your former spou- se’s income. Alimony paid is not deductible if you entered into a divorce or separation agreement after December 31, 2018.       To enter alimony paid in 2025:   Go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Other Deductions and Credits>Alimony Paid

Yes, lines 25 and 26 of schedule H are completed automatically as part of your entries in Part I and II. They just summarize your total tax due. Part I of Schedule H would report both employer and employee social security and Medicare tax, Part II would report your federal unemployment tax, which the employer pays. So as long as you completed Part I and II of Schedule H, you will have reported all of the payroll taxes necessary.

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser. Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s?
