I agree, there is no way for schedule E. I'm needing to update my depreciation schedules too and still looking at the msg that says it will be ready "February, but likely sooner cause they are updating w the latest tax laws". Not good. I just opened up the community to look for a status update.

@BenSkiRideNH Your Rhode Island income is using the Allocation by Days.  You will want to go back through the Rhode Island return and leave the page below blank- TurboTax should use your W2 amount then.
They switched accounting systems last year and generated 2 W2 forms, but this year are back to one.

My child got a small stipend (grant?) from her college to enable her to do an unpaid summer internship. It's through a program funded by the school so that their students can do afford to do unpaid internships who otherwise would need the income from a paid summer job. There were requirements around the types of internships she was allowed to do, she had to get approval first and give a presentation write a paper on her experience afterwards. She also has a small amount (few hundred $) of W2 income from the school. She does get grants from the school for tuition, too, but is not doing work study or anything, this extra income is just regular W2 income not not related to any financial aid. No federal taxes were withheld from that (SS and Medicare were). Her total income from both sources was less than 1/3 of the current filing requirement. She is claimed as a dependent on my taxes. I'm helping her do her own taxes.   The school provided a W2 for the other work, but what they say about the internship money is that "it should be reported to the IRS as income, but we are not obligated to nor will we provide any documentation or tax advice".   I cannot find anywhere in TurboTax to put this, other than as self-employment income with no documentation which triggers self-employment tax and requires upgrading to a paid version of TurboTax. This doesn't feel like "self-employment" income to me. I can understand the self-employment tax I guess, as nothing was withheld from this stipend at all, but it seems ridiculous that someone earning this small an amount of money should have to switch to the paid products because of this. Am I doing something wrong here? Is this supposed to be reported somewhere else that wouldn't trigger the need to upgrade (and preferably not self-employment tax either)? Is the school's vague statement hinting that this doesn't actually have to be reported? If it truly is self-employment income then she has to file, but if not since she's well under the filing requirement should she just not file at all this year and avoid this issue altogether?

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser. Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? Turrbotax does not let me enter anything into form 5695 but it forces me to try.   When I am at the "check my return" stage it forces me to go to form 5695 to enter my address but it never saves it and then sends me back to this form.   Any idea how to force it to save my entries?

On Saturday when I actually had gotten a helpful person, we spent close to 4 HOURS on the phone.  She tried also manually paying the state fee, but it doesn’t show anywhere nor does it register as being paid, so it didn’t work for me.   BTW, I’m on a Mac not aPC, & apparently that complicates things.
I had also paid for Live Tax Advice. It appears this feature was lost when the file was saved.

It is automatic based on your age. It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other sch 1-A amounts. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. If you are married you have to file a Joint return.
