@jh9kt ,  Vanguard International Fund would be considered a RIC  ( Registered/Regulated Investment Company ).  But not knowing the Canadian entity  details, even if  listed at NYSE,  is generally not a RIC ---- depending on the exact nature of the entity's  business it could be  just a foreign entity or a PFIC. I am assuming here that you are US person ( citizen/GreenCard/Resident for Tax Purposes ) and that your tax-home is US. Does this make sense ?  Is there more I can do for you ?

Oh wow, I called them and just sat on hold, finally got somebody who does not speak a lick of english who wouldn't even fathom my issue and absolutely can't resolve it. Said to call QB Support. QB Support said just pay the fee and ask for a refund. Really? I already PAID YOU.   What a joke this company.

I'm having the exact same issue.  The import from Charles Schwab seems to go fine.  The CS site says SUCCESS you can now return to Turbo Tax, but when I do, TTAX says the import was unsuccessful.  How do I make this work?  There are many accounts and transactions.  Doing it manually is not an option.
Are we sure its exclusively a Turbo Tax issue ,last time I checked it seemed HR block also was having this issues.

I filed my state and federal taxes on 2/10. It’s now 2/13, and they are both still pending. Usually, within hours the federal taxes will either be accepted or rejected. Never once has it taken more than that, even though it supposedly could take up to 48 hours. I called the IRS today, and they said no return has been transmitted for them to accept or reject. What is going on here with turbo tax? Are they not transmitting them properly? I filed my husbands on freetaxusa, they were accepted in less than 1 hour. I would like to know what the problem is.

Hi, I saw the notice that Depreciation and Amortization (Form 4562) would be ready by February, but it’s already February and the feature still isn’t available in my TurboTax account. Could you please let me know the expected release date or if there’s anything I need to upgrade or enable to access Form 4562?

In the Personal Info section, you can leave her info, but indicate that she is 'deceased'.  You'll be asked if you're preparing the return for a deceased person.  If she's getting a refund, TurboTax will prepare Form 1310 for you to receive it.   Here's more info on Filing a Final Return for a Deceased Taxpayer.   Sorry for your loss.   @mchitwood1

Well it's 2:30 PM on the day that Intuit said a bug fix would be published. Nothing. Hopefully Intuit gets this fixed as it would be quite the shame if Intuit was targeted in a class-action lawsuit filed by 2025 Weil McLain buyers who couldn't get the $600.00 credit because of Intuit's negligence.

You are entering that it was BASED on 2023, not that you RECIEVED it in 2025.    You only report the income you RECEIVED in 2025 on your 2025 Federal Return.    You enter that it was FOR 2023, because 1. The inflation Rebate is based on your 2023 income 2. If you have a state refund for tax year 2024, you can enter that 1099-G without it being added to the Infraction Rebate amount.    The 1099-G for the New York State Inflation Refund Check can be entered as a New York State refund in the TurboTax program. Income Other Common Income State and Local Tax Refunds on Form 1099-G   START or UPDATE Select the "Tax return year" on the "Tell us about the refund you received in 2025" as TAX YEAR 2023 Enter zero for "Payments and Withholding" Enter the amount that you received which is reported on that 1099-G Select NO for the "Let's check if your 2023 New York refund is taxable" screen Once the NO radio button is selected a drop-down opens and you can enter the taxable amount which is the full amount reported on that 1099-G. If you also receive a 1099-G for a 2024 state tax refund, that can be entered separately from this 1099-G.  You will attribute the "inflation refund" check to tax year 2023 and the State refund (if you received one) to tax year 2024.   This is the first year New York has issued a payment like this. There is no one dedicated screen to enter this 1099-G in the TurboTax program. Technically the New York State Inflation Refund Check is NOT a refund of tax. It is similar to an Earned Income Credit in so far as it is based on the Taxpayer's income, in this case their 2023 income, regardless of whether they itemized or used the standard deduction. It is not taxable on the state return, but is taxable on your federal return. Some answers you give the program are answers to make the program put the numbers where they need to go, they are not answers that are transmitted to the IRS. The amount of the New York State Inflation Refund Check will be reported on Schedule 1. The total on Schedule 1 is carried forward to Form 1040 line 8.     Here is a link explaining the New York State Inflation Refund Check Here is a link explaining the federal taxability of the check
