Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
The IRS Where's My Refund site will not take into account the 5 days early, but if you signed up for the 5 Day Early product, you should receive your refund deposited 5 days prior to the date indicated by the IRS, assuming all conditions are met.
For more information click on the link below
5 Days Early Option
If you don't get your deposit 5 days early, there is a few reasons why that might happen.
Your refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing your refund 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited your refund.
The IRS didn't give Intuit 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the 5 days early expectations.
If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.

I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. In October I flew to Arizona from Idaho to meet with the Mayo Clinic regarding Treatment Options. I spent 2 nights there in a hotel and used Uber as Transportation once there. It was decided to head down there in November to begin treatment. I had several preliminary appointments and tests from November through December 2025. My actual Radiation Treatment began in January and February of 2026. We drove down in an RV and have stayed at a RV Park. In the past we have come down as a Snow Bird usually in late January. Treatment has finished but we will be staying through March. That's the Background.... Question is What can I deduct as Medical Expense if I itemize expenses over the 7.5%? And..... What does significant mean below?, obviously we did some pleasure and recreational activities in between treatments There is no significant element of personal pleasure, recreation, or vacation in the travel away from home. Thanks in advance

Turbod tax selected the standard deduction for me even though my itemized deductions where higher. From another thread, someone said to check the info sheet part IV for an X in take standard deduction even if less than itemized. Ok, so I fixed that. Frankly, I have no idea how that box got checked. For my return, the higher itemized deduction did not change my federal taxes, but it did change my state taxes!! This seems like a turbotax calculation error. It almost cost me $500. In my state, Maine, you get the lesser of the state's standard deduction or the federal deduction. The federal standard deduction was below the limit and the itemized deduction was above the limit. This should be addressed.

I urge you to check this before you file (especially if you can see the 8889 on the desktop product)

Clear cache and cookies on your web browser. Or change your browser to one of these that you are not currently using, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge
I just went to that website and downloaded a file. It loaded into my Download directory immediately.

You could go to this screen and make your choice from the "Do-it-yourself" options on the far left.

djsintuituid. This worked for me in Edge browser. I also cleared cookies and cached images. Go to Settings \ Privacy, search, and services \ Clear browsing data \ Clear browsing data now. Check cookies and cached images, and click Clear Now. This ensures Edge doesn't try to use previously loaded information when TT tries to access the 1099s.

Hello all, Like always, I filed my taxes using TT. This year however, we had a complication with the repeal of the WEP provisions, my wife received a lump sum distribution from Social Security covering benefits that should have been paid in 2024. We told TT it should do a lump sum calculation. All it did was deduct the 2024 benefit from our 2025 tax return. It did not calculate what taxes should have been paid in 2024 had the benefit been given then, and did not add that in to our 2025 tax bill like it was supposed to. IRS caught the error and added the money back in to our return, but the result cut my refund in half. It took me a long time to figure out what happened and I still can't get TT to do the correct calculations. It either ignores the lump sum calc or it gives me an error that says I can't use the correct amounts from my 2024 return. I tried to notify TT of this but I don't want to wait an hour on the phone to get to a live human being again. Can't insert my original case number, this platform deletes it thinking its a telephone number. Sorry.
