To Enter Qualified Overtime in TurboTax Desktop 2025:   Go to the Wages & Income section and enter your W-2. After entering your W-2, proceed through the screens until you reach "Let's check for other situations" or "Uncommon Tax Situations". Check the box next to Overtime and click Continue. Follow the prompts and enter your overtime amounts from your year-end pay stub or other source. Note that the deduction applies only to the "premium" portion (e.g., the "half" in time-and-a-half). Indicate if you are a non-exempt employee, which is generally required to claim this federal deduction.

The tax amount due number TurboTax Premier 2025 computes for my taxable income does not agree with the results from the IRS directions. The number for my taxable income (line 15) when entered into TT returns a number (line 16) that is significantly different from the number I get when using the formulas provided in the IRS directions. The difference between the TT computed amount and the IRS formulas is in excess of $3,000. The TT number is too low. I used Microsoft Excel to compute the taxes due amount using the IRS 2025 Tax Computation Worksheet. I also used my own spreadsheet that computes taxes due that I have used for many years (fairly accurately), adjusted for the 2025 tax brackets, and my spreadsheet agrees, to within pennies, the amount computed from the IRS formulas. Why is the TT tax amount number so significantly different from the number using the IRS tax formulas? My filing status is MFJ and I am in the middle of the 24% bracket.

Turbo Tax will not allow me to manually adjust Maine Schedule 1S to include accrued market discount for treasury notes (which is treated as interest on US obligations and should not be subject to state taxes).  Any suggestions?
See if there’s an amount on line 13b of your 1040. You shouldn’t have to change the amount on your 1099.
Please clarify which state tax return that you are preparing so we may help you.
I need to know why they haven't released my refund to my bank account. Turbotax says all they see on their end is a status of pending under Distribution status.

@ cynthiapn  When you go to Deductions, it may show the page titled as "Your Tax Breaks".   If so, it may initially only show a few of your deduction categories you have used.  So you may have to scroll down on that tax breaks page and choose "Show more tax breaks" or "Additional tax breaks", or words to that effect.   Then the page will expand, and there will be a full list of deduction categories.   If you still have trouble, report back, and we can give you another navigation path to the estimated tax payments entry section.

Using TT Home & Bus 2025 desktop, I find that my Michigan return .pdf file is missing some federal schedules, which, as per MI's state 1040 filing instructions (see Table 3, pg 67) are required.  For my particular situation, I am required to file Fed & MI State tax hardcopy by mail return, so this matters to me.  For my situation, TT does include within the "all forms required for filing" .pdf file:  Sched "C", and Form 8829 (and an "Explanation" memo page for line #37), but does NOT include Sched "1" and Sched "3".  Of course I easily resolved the issue by adding the missing items to my MI 1040 tax return deck, but it seems that Intuit / TurboTax could easily fix this issue.  I vaguely recall that I had this similarly happen last year when using TT Premier desktop.  Please fix the issue, or tell me what I'm doing wrong.  Thanks.
No, you only need to report a Form 1095 if it is Form 1095-A.  Form 1095-C is informational only.   You don't need to report Medicaid coverage on your tax return.

To simplify things, answer no to the "did you live in a foreign country" question.  Otherwise TurboTax is going to ask questions about foreign income.  As long as the only income is the one from the summer job in the US, there's no need to go through the foreign questions.

According to the TurboTax Help Article What do I do with Form 1099-A?:   You may get Form 1099-A (Acquisition or Abandonment of Secured Property) if your lender foreclosed on your mortgage or repossessed property as a result of a defaulted loan.   If your 1099-A is for personal property, like your personal residence or automobile, you don't need to report it. However, hang on to this form and keep it with your tax records.   On the other hand, if you got a 1099-A for business or investment property (like a rental), we highly recommend that you consult a tax professional for further advice.   If you want to enter a Form 1099-A in TurboTax, Go to:   Federal Taxes Wages & Income Less Common Income 1099-A/1099-C. Or, you can Type "1099-A" in the search bar and select the "Jump to" link.
