DID YOU E-FILE?   Did you e-file?   Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”     When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/    What does it say in your account?  Does it show that the return was accepted?   Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”

May be I confused on something.   We did adjustment for both irs and CA to reduce taxable income based on work days allocation. After I report this adjustment on schedule oi, It is adding this adjustment back to CA income on column C. So effectively i'm paying tax on full amount then in case of CA.    Am I mixing schedule oi and work days based adjustment? PS - i'm declaring the same work days adjustment in schedule oi. @DaveF1006

You only need the file ending in .tax2024 to transfer into 2025.   On the old computer, Your tax files end in .tax or .tax2022 or .tax2023 or .tax2024 etc.  They should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder.  You should also have the pdf files of each year.  Or search your computer for all files ending in .tax.  Also if you haven't done it,  I would open each year in the program and save it as a PDF file, go to File-Save to PDF so you don't need the program installed to view or print your return in the future like to get a mortgage or loan, etc.   What I would do is just copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents.  That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored.  Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them.   Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder.   The programs need to be installed from the CD or download them again.  You don't need to install them unless you need to amend or open a return.  They only support the last 3 years so you might not be able to update older years or download any state programs you need.   Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account all your downloads and licenses are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to download to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac).  And the download will always be up to date with all the updates.

We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses. Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.  If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab.

If the phrase "Not Started" appears on the "Income Summary" or the "Your Deductions and Credits", these values do not appear on your forms on your tax return. Therefore, if you have correctly entered your data and the data appears correctly on your return, then this Not Started phrase does not matter.   Note that you do not normally make any entries from form 5498 on to your tax return. Did you receive a form 1099-SA? This is the form goes on your tax return.

TurboTax will handle this correctly. It's a normal situation where the ordinary gain (to the extent of prior depletion claimed) will go directly to Schedule 1, and then the Form 1040.  If there is any excess gain, above the previous depletion amount, it will be capital gain and either go to the Form 8949 as you pointed out, or could go directly to Schedule D, which is where it will ultimately end up so that the correct capital gain tax will be applied.    @Bridgesh73

Yes, you are correct. Despite being able to claim a Standard Deduction on your Federal return (due to the US-India treaty), you are not allowed claim the Wisconsin Standard Deduction on your Wisconsin state return.   As you read in Publication 122, Wisconsin law does not recognize federal treaty provisions for the purpose of the standard deduction. Wisconsin’s tax code (Section 71.05(22)(b)) explicitly states that "if you are a Nonresident Alien at any time during the year, your Wisconsin standard deduction is $0".
