100% agree. We are entitled to a fix. Hope they listen and see to this thread (which I doubt)! I could not find the workaround and wait and see.

If you're using QuickBooks Online, you can do your taxes from within QuickBooks. For other situations, please follow the instructions here: How do I import my QuickBooks info into TurboTax? You shouldn't need to clear and start over. But if you wish to do so, follow these steps: Sign in to TurboTax. From Tax Home, open or continue a section of your return. Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Clear & Start Over. Answer Yes to confirm.

I am having the same problem.  I am getting the message when trying to efile the state return.  The Federal return efiled with no corrections or flags.  The "fix" it wants it the first name, but that is correct and matches every other form. I too have deleted the 1099Q and re-entered it as TurboTax AI directed.  The next step AI gave was to wait for Turbo Tax to update its software- but I got a notice that 1099-Q forms were ready and the problem persists.

I am experiencing the same issue as of this morning for both NYS S Corp and Partnership programs for 2025.  Still not working.    I was the phone with TT representatives on Monday and yesterday for several hours and none of them had an answer.   In addition,  there was a Level 2 representative on a screen share with me on Monday, and that person had no answer.   They suggested trying to download the state tax program through my intuit account, but when we tried that I kept getting an error message that  said "Something's not quite right Something's not working. Give us a few minutes and try again. If it still doesn't work, please contact us."  No one at Turbo Tax had any answers.

Feb 4, 2026... still can't import from Fidelity with the DESKTOP version.   From the Import screen, I get the Chrome pop-up and login to Fidelity; it claims it successfully transfered the documents and can go back to TurboTax.  When I go back to TurboTax (with or without closing the Chrome pop-up), only "Continue" (which will re-try the download) or "Skip Import" buttons are shown and the data hasn't been loaded.   Fidelity offers the Online version of TurboTax directly on their website, so compatible isn't an issue.  Again, this problem appears on the DESKTOP version.

You are seeing this because the amount of Medicare taxes withheld in box 6 is not exactly 1.45% of the Medicare wages in box 5, due to rounding.   DoninGA found that if you remove any cents for the Medicare wages (Box 5), this will clear the need for Form 8959.   Double check your entries for your W2s. You could have a Box 6 withholding error or misplaced decimal point in Box 5 (e.g., entering $50,000.00 as $500,000) will trigger the form. Go to Wages & Income and select Edit/Add next to your W-2. Check Box 5 and Box 6 for every W-2 entered. Ensure Box 6 is exactly 1.45% of Box 5. If it is off by a few cents (e.g., the W-2 shows $145.01 instead of $145.00), rounding it to the nearest dollar may remove the form requirement. If the amount in Box 6 (Medicare tax withheld) is more than 1.45% of the amount in Box 5 (Medicare wages), TurboTax must generate Form 8959 to claim a refund of that overpayment. Even a discrepancy of $1 due to employer rounding can trigger this.   If your W2 entries are correct, delete the form: Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Tools. Select Delete a form. Find Form 8959 and click Delete. Note: If the data in your W-2 still points to an overpayment, TurboTax will automatically re-generate the form during the final review.

First, check to see if you signed up for the TurboTax Refund Advance. You can look in a few specific places in your account or your email.    Check Your TurboTax Order Details On the Tax Home page, scroll down to the section for "Your tax returns & documents." Select View Order Details. Look for "Refund Advance" or "Credit Karma Money" listed under your payment and refund methods. If it’s not there, you likely selected a standard direct deposit or a different refund option.   Look for Confirmation Emails If you applied, you should have received automated emails from TurboTax and its partners. From TurboTax: Search for an email confirming your "Refund Selection." From Credit Karma: If you were approved, Credit Karma sends an email when the funds are deposited into your Credit Karma Money Spend account. From WebBank: If your application was denied, you will receive an email from WebBank (the lender) explaining the reason for the decline.   Check Your Credit Karma Money Account Because the Refund Advance is deposited into a Credit Karma Money™ Spend account, checking that account is the fastest way to see if the loan was processed. Log in to your Credit Karma account. Navigate to the Money tab. If you see a pending or completed deposit for a portion of your refund (typically between $250 and $4,000) shortly after the IRS accepted your return, that is your Refund Advance.   Review Your Tax Return Summary You can also find clues on your actual tax forms: Open your 2025 return in TurboTax Go to the Tax Tools menu on the left Select Print Center View your Federal Information Worksheet Look at the "Direct Deposit" section If you signed up for the advance, the bank account listed will be the MVB Bank account associated with Credit Karma, rather than your personal bank account.
Thank you for reporting your experience. We are currently investigating the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.

I have a similar issue to what member124671 reported.  I have three in college and have manually entered room and board on the "People wks (student)" for each.  After saving each return, when I come back into each return, two of the returns saved the manual entry, but one keeps clearing out room and board.  For the one that keeps deleting, I am also reporting a student loan payment with 529 funds.

I have a workplace individual plan with BCBS. My deductible is $3000 and the Out of Pocket Max is $7250.  My plan name does not have HDHP in the name.  I want to make a contribution to my personal HSA with Fidelity but both the company insurance broker and the representative at BCBS say this is not a HDHP. How is that possible? Don't they have to go by IRS guidelines?

Currently, TurboTax supports the manual entry of IRS Form 1099-DA. We are in the process of enhancing our CSV import and upload features to make this process more seamless.   Timeline: We expect the new CSV import functionality to be available soon.  Supported Documents: Once live, the import/upload feature will support both 1099-DA and DigitalAssetGainLoss files. If you are ready to file now, you can still enter your information manually. Otherwise, thank you for your patience while we get these automated tools ready for you!

Yes, I've read all of that already.  Nothing new there. Nothing has changed in Arkansas in reference to this $6000 deduction which is why I don't understand it. But thanks for the effort. I have already e-filed my Fed return and it's been accepted. So I just printed out the Arkansas returns and if there is no update by February 11th that allows the e-filing of my Arkansas returns I am just sending them in by US Mail.
