Same issue here! I tried fiddling with things a few different ways to see if I could get it to work on a refile, but no luck so far. I think it's just flat out broken.

I am married filing joint. My spouse and I have $61,000 in social security plus we have $153,000 in retirement and other income. Right now Turbotax is showing $0 as taxable for our social security; I believe 85% of our social security should be included in our taxable income. Something is not right.

This article will help you download any data you had in ItsDeductible (if used previously or during the year before it was shut down in October).
There will be a new tool that will help calculate the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the donated items. However, no information on when it is going to be available yet.

If any of the values on your 1099-R have decimal values (i.e. dollars and cents $00.00), have you tried rounding those up or down to the nearest whole dollar amount and typing them in as whole numbers (i.e. $0)? This could be the fix if the issue is in rounding.
The IRS does not accept anything other than whole numbers on the tax return, and the agency will be expecting the software to round off any decimal values regardless, so you can go ahead and try inputting the values from your 1099-R as rounded numbers yourself, to see if this works around the problems you're experience on the input screen.
If there is nothing in box 16, do not enter any values for that into the software.

@mbmech157 For some strange & unexplained reason, TTX software folks have take out the ability to enter separate dates & donations of cash/Check/CCard amounts....nor recurring donations of the same amount. Thus, you now have to total them all up yourself for that charity and just enter the year's total....BUT keep the records of the details anyhow in a yearly tax folder.

To help us evaluate this issue more clearly, it would be helpful if we could have a diagnostic copy of a return with this issue. To send us a diagnostic copy (which is a copy of the data and entries stripped of personally identifying information, please follow these steps:
From any page in the TurboTax online software (except Tax Home):
Click on Tax Tools in the menu on the left hand side of the screen
Next, click on Tools
In the pop up box click on Share file with an agen”
Return to this thread and post the token code that appears on the screen so that we can link that file with this question
If you are using TurboTax desktop, the send file to agent command is under the Online menu.

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

It doesn't take me to the payment screen. It simply displays a spinning icon and then displays the error message from my original post above. I later heard from my credit card company that a charge had been declined for TurboTax in the amount of $25 due to the expiration of a virtual card, but I never even got to the payment screen in the first place. I then logged into my Intuit account and updated my credit card information. After updating my card, I tried submitting my state filing again, only to receive the same message from TurboTax. Although the credit card company DID NOT notify me of a failed transaction this time, and no $25 charge has been processed.

I am using windows 11. This, year after year, continuing problem is absolutely ridiculous. Luckily for me, I have other credit cards with exp dates within the first 9 months of the year so I got my taxes efiled but this problem that TurboTax continually ignores has made me lose faith in them.

As posted earlier in this thread:
We anticipate the depreciation calculations within the software should be updated after February 13, 2026. Our tech team is working hard to release the updates before that date. Please be aware that this update will affect depreciation for Schedule E (Rental Properties) only. Schedule C (Self-Employment) was updated previously and should be working in all versions of TurboTax.
Also, you can sign up at this link to be notified via email. when the forms are ready to use in TurboTax.

... having to wait 45 minutes or more before you get a new code plus the time to receive it and reactivate the app ... this shouldn't be necessary!!! A couple of years ago I spent hours on the phone with Intuit and Amazon (where I purchased the activation code) before I begged Amazon to stand behind what they sold, and they reimbursed me so I could purchase a second code. Unbelievable!
