No.  In PA, if you have no income, then you do not need to file a PA return.  If you had income that you were receiving while traveling and you maintained a home in PA, then that income would be taxable to PA.  You are considered to be a resident of PA until you establish a home elsewhere.    You will only need to file a MA return as a part year resident reporting the income you earned while a resident of MA.  Income earned or received while not a resident or physically present in either state is not taxable to either of those states.  So basically, any income you earned in December would be reported on your MA Part Year return.  If you did not receive any income in December, then you would not need to file a MA return either.

@tonyduartev Might be a little early as I have also not been able to see that as of Jan 5th afternoon EST I see @user17683336554  also asked this Merrill Lynch-Merrill Edge not in import Dropdown.

If this is a refinance of a refinance, you can write off the remainder of those points.   Reference: Mortgage points and IRS Topic no. 504, Home mortgage points
Thank you, Vanessa! I wasn't sure if that was allowable but with your reassurance I'll go ahead and get it done! I appreciate the help.

While many tax documents arrive by January 31, some brokerages delay consolidated 1099 statements (like 1099-B) until mid-February due to account complexity. If your broker isn't listed or your data isn't ready to import yet, check back in a week or two.   If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser. Make sure any VPN or Anvi-Virus is turned off.   See the following TurboTax Help articles for potential fixes: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax?
Entering manually is not an option for large 1099's with hundreds of transaction.   Merrill and Turbotax need to get their act together.    Users need information, not message board speculation.

If you had a Foreign Tax Credit Carryover, you can enter the amount and designate the year in the FTC interview.  In FORMS, Form 1116 Schedule B shows the amount in the proper column for the year entered in the interview.  The form matches the IRS Form 1116, Schedule B Form.  If you can clarify your issue, we'll try to help.   @Raytam
Thank you. It is an experience we wouldn't expect you to have, so yes, it will be resolved at some point, but I'm glad we found a way to work around it.
Muchas gracias, si lo aceptaron, gracias

You can enter the tip total in box 7 of the W-2.  This will not affect anything else, but it will allow you to get the questions needed regarding tips and deduct the tips.  You can use the total from the last paystub to enter in box 7.     The IRS is giving a little leeway this year as this is all new and there has not been a standard way that employers were told to report tips and overtime. So adding the amount in box 7, is currently the easiest way to complete the taxes and deduct the tips.

Box 14 of the W-2 is generally used to report the overtime premium  This is the extra 0.5 per hour that you get for overtime. It does not include the straight time portion of the hours worked. This will be the number you will post in the second half of the W-2 interview when you post your overtime.   Log into TurboTax Click on Tax Home on the left sidebar. Select Wages & Income. Review/Edit or select W-2. Enter your Employer ID. The options for Snap a picture and Upload have step-by-step directions. You can also select [Type it Myself] at the bottom of the screen. Enter your employer's information. Post the information from the W-2. You may be prompted to double check certain information. A sample of your tax due or refund will be posted for the data you have entered so far. A Let's check for uncommon situations will come up.  This is where you will post Tips and other uncommon situations. Continue through the interview if any of these apply. This will bring you back to the summary page.
I don’t remember that I put part year residence but on my tax return it shows dates from - to -    Is that correct ?

I'm not finding anything about this. Can you try these things?   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.   Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.
