From the Intuit QEF online FAQ:    I e-filed my form(s), how will I know it was accepted with the IRS or SSA?   After e-filing your W-2 or 1099 form, please monitor your form status in the Forms tab of the corresponding business. The form status will change from "E-File Processing" to either "E-File Accepted" or "E-File Rejected", once the Government Agency processes the form.    The status change may take up to 2 to 4 weeks. You will also receive a notification by e-mail when the status changes.   For W-2 and 1099-NEC, e-file is due by February 2, 2026 . For 1099-MISC, 1099-INT and 1099-DIV, efile is due by March 31, 2026 .   The Forms tab can be found on the lefthand side underneath the business name label. Status will be the table column furthest to the right.
Yes, I'm doing what's called, but it's been about 4 days 'It looks like we ran into a problem - wait a few minutes and try again.' I get your warning

The software asks me to enter the information from 1098-E, but I don't have one because the amount paid was less than $600. That said, I have records of how much was paid, so I know what the total is. Do I just enter that number as though I had the 1098-E, even without the actual form?

The main reason is that you may have a missing background component called Rosetta 2. Even though you have a powerful new Mac, TurboTax is still built using "Intel" code. To run it, your Mac needs Rosetta 2 to "translate" that code. Usually, macOS asks to install this automatically, but on new systems, the prompt sometimes fails to appear, leaving the app "stuck" or unable to open.    Check to see if Rosetta 2 is in your applications folder.   Open the TurboTax installer window. Drag the TurboTax icon into your Applications folder. Close the installer window and remove the TurboTax disk icon from your desktop. Open your Applications folder and double-click the TurboTax app from there. If you find it isn't listed in your applications folder, perform these steps.   Open Terminal (Press Command + Space, type "Terminal," and hit Enter).  Copy and paste the following command exactly: softwareupdate --install-rosetta Press Enter. Type A to agree to the license agreement and press Enter. Once it says the installation was successful, try opening TurboTax again. Newer versions of macOS (like Sequoia) have strict security settings that can prevent software purchased from third parties like Costco.   Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security in your computer. Scroll down to the Security section. If you see a message saying "TurboTax was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer," click Open Anyway. Also check to see if the software you purchased from Costco ‌will install on the MAC.  Check the labels.

Just registered with TurboxTax as a new user to file business taxes. First step - trying to buy "TurboTax Business" desktop app.   On the attempt to checkout, I see the error: We are sorry, we are having trouble authorizing your credit card. Please verify your billing address, card number and CVV and try again. The bank's transactions page shows that the transaction has failed because "The merchant canceled this transaction".    The billing information is 100% correct - obviously, I've been using the same corporate card for many purchases without issues, which includes entering the same billing info on various websites.   This is a terrible new user experience and makes me want to shop around for other products if no fast fix is available. Any ideas? Thanks!
The AGI on a federal tax return, Form 1040, is only one number and if you filed as Married Filing Jointly it is the same number for both of you. The 2024 AGI is located on Form 1040 Line 11

@altiervogt This IRS link takes you directly to the 2025 Form 5695 https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-5695
I read a post that said to try leaving the cents off of the Medicare tax on your W2 box 6.   Box 6 has to be exactly 1.45% of box 5 or less.
This is a known issue and is being addressed.   Check back later in the week to finish filing your taxes.

In some cases, the QBI carryover freed up last year was transferred to this worksheet in error. Deleting these entries will reset the QBI carryovers for this property.   Remove/delete the amount from the QBI column on the Carryovers to 2025 Smart Worksheet Line G that appears with the Smart Check message. This edit will allow the worksheet to pass final review so you can file your federal return.
