Good morning @M-MTax! Please check back on this feature after January 31, 2026 when the the majority of these forms will be available from the institutions. We'll be able to gather more information at that time. When the time comes, let me know in the replies to this thread. Thank you!
Go to this IRS website for the address for mailing the Form 1040-X, by state - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment
THANK YOU!!!!! Looked everywhere for an answer and none of that worked, this finally did!

Quitting and coming back did the trick.  But there should not have to be a trick.  And the hard push to use the online version left me totally cold.  Right now if another company presented a similar product, I'd switch just because Intuit made it a pain in the ass to get started with my return.  If there are more "tricks" required to get my return done, it will be the last one I do with TurboTax.
It will not allow for an e-file. It still requires the review to be completed properly. The only option is to mail it in. The software needs to be fixed.

Regarding replacing TT, other than H&R Block, what other tax software is there for personal (non-business) use?   Out of curiosity, what do you use in place of Quicken? I have iCompta & iFinance, but until it decided to duplicate EVERY transaction in EVERY account going back years, I still used Quicken 2007 for Mac LC as my primary data entry.

Once a tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, canceled or retrieved You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-current-year/L7eS6o1qh_US_en_US?uid=lfunevhk
Perhaps this has been corrected, but I entered $96,951 and it yielded a 22% bracket for Married Filling Jointly.

I have two IRA accounts in 2025 for which I have received disbursements exceeding the required RMD amount. Turbo Tax is requiring that I enter the RMD for the accounts before I can proceed with my return. How do I get around this Turbo Tax requirement so I can continue the return? I didn't have to do this with previous year Turbo Tax programs. Thanks
Please advice if I still use Window 10 to download 2025 Turbo Tax deluxe. Mr Melliza

@RzRob    Yeah, I wondered about that too for cash donations  (items are a different issue)...but looking at my 2024 tax return, there is no part of the "filed" tax return that ahs the individual amounts.....just a total. $$ amount for line 11 on the 2024 & 2025 Sched A .  Yes, the backup worksheets for the charities show the $$ details, but those don't go to the IRS.....but they do help us keep track of the dates & amounts when we were able to put in those details  (though my quarterly just showed $150 at 4times for $600, and monthly was $4 at12 times for $48   The looked at the actual instructions for line 11 of the PDF file and they just say you have to keep contemporaneous records for those $$ donations, and an acknowledgement from the charity for individual donations of $250 or more. ____________________ ....even so, I don't like what TTX has changed either.....again, don't break what works.

I am a member to two separate multimember LLCs. One LLC owns a commercial building that it leases to the second LLC. These two LLCs meet all the requirements to group the activities under section 469. How do I get TurboTax Online to recognize the groupings to show the losses from the LLC that owns the real estate as nonpassive? I've read that I will have to submit an election to the IRS and TurboTax online does not support this so I'll need to print and mail my return in, which I'm fine with. However, Schedule E is showing the loss from the real estate LLC as passive and thus not offsetting my ordinary income.

You should receive an email letting you know that the forms have been submitted.  There may not be an email letting you know that they have been accepted.  The fact that the system is telling you that they have been accepted certainly seems to indicate that they have.  However, if you need to, you can contact TurboTax support and they can walk you through all of the forms that have been submitted by you and what has been accepted.   Here is how to contact TurboTax support.

Today is 1-26-2026. Using TurboTax deluxe 2025. Windows 11 desktop computer. I received an automated email last week stating Form 5695 (Energy credits) was available. Not so, since when get into program it says "Unavailable". I called support to inquire about form status but was disconnected. (Agent did ask for my phone number "In case we were disconnected", but did not get a callback.)
