Please clarify what section of TurboTax you are working on. Also, which version of TurboTax are you using? Online or Desktop? Do you file a state tax return?

Currently there is no built-in feature to automatically alphabetize a list of charities in TurboTax Online or within the "Step-by-Step" interview mode of TurboTax Desktop.    In TurboTax Desktop 2025, there is a technical workaround using Forms Mode to sort your data.   Here's how: Select the Forms icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. In the list of forms on the left, locate and select the Charitable Contributions Worksheet (or the Schedule A Worksheet section for donations). Click on any line within the table where your charities are listed. Go to the Edit menu at the top of your program. Select Sort Table. A dialog box will appear; choose to sort by Charity Name in Ascending order. Click OK. This will reorganize your current list alphabetically.

Here's how to get all the forms and schedules.   TurboTax Online: Sign in to your TurboTax Account. Scroll down to the "Your tax returns & documents" section. Select the specific tax year you need (e.g., 2024). Click "Add a State" (you aren't actually adding one, but this "unlocks" the return so you can access the Print Center). In the left-hand menu, select Tax Tools > Print Center. Select Print, save or preview this year's return. The Key Step: Look for a checkbox or dropdown that says "Include government and TurboTax worksheets" or "All forms." Click View/Print to generate the full PDF, which will now include every schedule (like Schedule C, D, or E) and the internal worksheets.   TurboTax Desktop: If you used the software installed on your computer, you must open the specific program for that year (e.g., open the TurboTax 2024 app). Open your saved .tax file. Go to File > Print. In the print window, select the radio button for "All forms and worksheets." Choose "Save as PDF" to keep a digital copy with every detail.

UPDATE. I neglected to say my spouse had a G-4 visa, so was exempt from US income taxes. So, I can report all her income for 2024 and 2025 and we are good for MFJ and the standard deduction. But my last two questions remain concerning requesting resident status for 2024 and/or 25 and which 1042-S forms to get her capital gains from. The idea of not reporting her investment earnings for 2024 is now moot because we will be reporting her wages, although they are not taxable.  Thanks for your continued interest.
In absence of "It's Deductible" so now using my own spread sheet to keep track of charitable deductions.

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?   You will not get any information from the IRS refund site while your return is in pending.  The IRS does not have your return yet.   Did you e-file?  Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”  If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server.  Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. On January  26  the IRS will begin to accept/reject e-files.  The IRS accepts a FEW returns in test batches ahead of January 26—-but that is very random.   Watch your emails—including your spam folder—for the notice about whether your e-file has been accepted or rejected.  If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing.   If the return you e-filed is accepted you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend it to fix any mistakes or omissions.  It has been taking the IRS four to six months—sometimes longer—to process amended returns.   If you e-filed your state return there will be another email later that tells you if the state was accepted or rejected.   WARNING:   Do not try to change anything on your return while it is pending.   https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-announces-first-day-of-2026-filing-season-online-tools-and-
