When Turbo Tax does an update, how do I know if my completed tax information is affected? Should I file now or wait until April to know if there are any additional updates? Thank you

Hi Linda, Thanks for the help but still no-go. I'm not doing taxes through the website but through the installed app so I don't know what changing the browser settings and cache would do (I use chrome). FYI the "Billing address panel does has scrolling so I can scroll to the bottom of the panel/form to continue to enter the purchasing information but the credit card panel/form does not. Help me to spend more money 8-).

To access your tax returns (current or prior year) you will sign into the TurboTax website with the user ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
As an alternative for current year return, when you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a State (You will not really be adding a state).
This will take you back in to the 2025 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Find the Print Center and choose the year you want to print. If you want your full return including worksheets, choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
In TurboTax Online, follow these steps to print/view your return and all of the informational worksheets after you have filed:
Sign in to TurboTax
Scroll down to Your Tax Returns & Documents
Select 2024 and then Add a State (You aren't actually adding a State but this gets you back into the Print Center)
From the left panel Select Tax Tools, scroll down a little and select Print Center
Select Print, save or preview this year's return
Select the 2024 Federal and/or State return box
Choose to Include TurboTax and government worksheets
Select View or Print Forms

The fix came from my 3rd call to tech support, all of which took > 1hr of my fleeting life, not to mention about 20 other hours og trying and retrying the numerous suggestions that populate this thread. The 3rd call was the charm by virtue of the tech on the other end who doggedly pursued the solution which ultimately was Intuit dropping the state return I was struggling to purchase into the downloads section of te Intuit website and then patiently walking me through the installation and linkage to mt TT account. It's the luck of the draw as to who is on the other end pf the line and their willingness to pursue the solution. I've been doing this out of state return for 5 years and this is the 1st time I've had this draining experience.

My friend gets a 1099R DFAS pension from her ex husband's military service. Does she qualify for the 20,000 exclusion as a former spouse? I can't seem to delete it.

You can do a preview of your state return. If using the online version of TurboTax, follow these steps to get to a preview:
Once you're logged in, scroll down on the left side menu and click Tax Tools, click the word Tools right below.
Select View Tax Summary on the pop-up menu.
On the left side menu, you can click on "[two letter state code] Tax Summary" to see a preview of your state return.
Click on Back on the left side menu to return to the interview section of TurboTax.
If your are using the desktop version, click on Forms on the blue banner at the left, which will bring up the forms in your return. You can scroll down the menu on the left to find the state forms on your return.
If you need more assistance and since state forms are different depending on the state, would you be able to reply back with the state return you are filing as well as the form and line number on that form that you are questioning? Also, any information on the amount of the state payments you made and the amount shown on the form will be helpful in getting an answer to you.

@wkunihiro_Intuit wrote: But just logging on is asking to be tracked, every website..... I suppose this doesn't bother me as much, personally, because I have professional licenses (state and federal) and anyone can actually look me up and get a lot of information about me. Not much I can do about it, in a few cases, because the state requires the information and there are sunshine laws. As far as my complement of PCs, I do FULL images every day (sometimes more than once a day) and copy data on various media throughout the day. I feel I have a sufficient methodology to prevent data loss.
