I've entered my 1099-R information for my inherited RMD, answered the following questions. As soon as I indicate it was an inherited IRA and enter my mother's name, my federal amount increases because its considering this as taxable income. All of the RMD was rolled over into a new IRA. I entered it the same way I did last year and it did not have this impact.

If one successfully imported their w2 from paylocity in the past, why isn't turbotax allowing that now?

You can't if you already filed it, but you don't need to. Just file your return when you are ready. Any payment due is due tomorrow whether or not you filed the extension.

Does a filing extension also extend the deadline for contributing to a traditional IRA?

For an inherited IRA with basis, the names on 8606 should be "<owner> and <your name> BENE" or Beneficiary if it fits, and your SSN. TurboTax won't prepare such a form. You can get the form in fillable PDF format on the IRS website. After e-Filing you can mail it attached to Form 1040-X . Explanation: "form not included with e-File due to software issues" Note: when you are not changing any dollar amounts on your amending 1040-X, you can leave all the lines 1-23 EMPTY. - Done this way, you sign 1040-X, not 8606. Do not include your old 1040 nor your revised 1040 because they are identical. @Proteus7

Yes, if you are self-employed and have more than $400 in earnings, you are required to file a return. And because the income is on a 1099, and not a W-2, you owe self-employment tax. You won't owe income tax since you earned less than your standard deduction, but you will still owe the self-employment tax. You will be able to enter business expenses to reduce the amount of tax you owe.
I need to enter a 1099 - Am I Self-Employed?
How do I report income from self-employment?
What self-employed expenses can I deduct?
