I have arrived at the Federal E-File portion of our entertainment. Everything is done, and I am entering my credit card info. Name, Card number, security code? All OK. BUT Expiration date is 01/27 And the scroll for Month ONLY GOES FROM 02 to 12. THERE IS NO '01' This is not a browser issue, this is YOUR software running on my Win 10 PC. Manual Input should ALWAYS be available. Scrolling is for accessibility features, not to restrict input. Input should ALWAYS be checked afterwardst anyway.

Thanks @MarilynG1 - when I follow the instructions in that link, and I get to the Tools Popup where I should be able to download my .tax file, there is no option "Save your 2024 return to your computer"... any idea why this might be? do I need to pay for TT online first? IF so will I need to buy the desktop version as well?

This is still not a satisfying solution. If are allowed to enter a GIIN number, then the label to that field should specifically say "Enter FEIN or in the case of a foreign entity the GIIN".

@TaxDonor1 When you buy any extra state beyond the one free one...that state can be used for any person who needs that state's software...as many times as needed. Each time that any state is e-filed, that e-file fee is $20-$25 (except that e-filing NY forms is free).

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

It depends. The IRS system is 'pay as you go', which means that when you make money they want the tax dollars on that money. If you don't have enough federal (or state) tax withheld, then you are responsible for making sure you have enough tax paid in. See some exceptions below. Keep in mind that W-4 charts sometimes change as well and we aren't always made aware.
Generally, you can avoid the penalty if your total timely estimated payments and withholdings are greater than or equal to the lesser of:
90% of the total tax after credits for the current year, or
100% of the total tax after credits in the prior year
See one exception below.
You can also avoid the penalty if the amount you owe is less than $1,000 as long as any estimated tax payments you made are timely.
Note: High-income taxpayers. If your adjusted gross income (line 11 of your 2023 Form 1040) is greater than $150,000 (or $75,000 if you're married and file a separate return from your spouse), you can avoid a penalty by paying at least 110% of your total tax from the prior year.
What is Form 2210?
How do I add Form 2210 in TurboTax?

I am using TurboTax business desktop and trying to file my 1065. My partnership was issued a K1 by the real estate company we invested in, which has a Box 11 code ZZ amount, and the additional information section describes it as LAND LEASE. When I enter the Box 11 ZZ amount in TurboTax, it is not using it in my return anywhere. I tried the Forms mode, but it says "* Not provided for in program. Manually enter on appropriate tax form." It lets me do a QuickZoom on Box 11 Code S, which I believe is incorrect as this is not capital gains. Which form/section should I enter this in? Please help.

No, it just means you do not have a 2023 AGI to enter. So choose the one that says you did not file a 2023 return or use zero as your 2023 AGI to e-file 2024.

To my surprise, you have to at least repeat the box 1 amount from the W-2 in box 16 and "PA" in box 15. You should have 0 in Box 17 (since you had no PA withholding). I hope you can get by with no PA state ID number.
I am surprised because the code in TurboTax for most states ignores the box 16 amounts, but takes it from the federal return.
Before you enter things in the state boxes, please see this PA page for why the PA wages can be different than federal wages. Then enter the amounts in the state boxes on your W-2.
Note that the IRS does not inspect these boxes (15, 16, 17) because they are used only by the states, so you can't hurt your federal return this way.

If you are getting a refund for 2023, you have 2 years left to file. If you owe, you have forever to file.
