TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. To E-file your tax return, you will need EITHER last year's self-created 5-digit PIN, or last year's AGI (adjusted gross income). Your 5-digit PIN isn't saved anywhere; in this case you can use you AGI instead.    Your 2023 AGI is located within your prior-year tax documents Form 1040, Line 11.   There are a few reasons why your AGI, even if it is correct, it might not work, such as if your 2023 return was processed after April 15th, 2024. In this case, you can try putting "0" for the AGI. See the link below for more details and scenarios. If after trying with "0" it keeps getting rejected, you will have to paper-file your return.   How do I find last year's AGI? Yes. You can fix it through the app. However, sometimes it's difficult to see all the features from the app. If you are having any difficulties, try switching to a computer/laptop, or to a web browser within your phone.

Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about your payment.   If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return.  It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment.  If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:    TurboTax Online  In TurboTax Online, sign into your account. You should be on your Tax Home page. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents. Select 2024, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu). Once you're in your return, you can navigate around as usual. Click Tax Tools (in the black bar on the left of your screen) and then click select Print Center. Click Print, save or preview this year's return TurboTax CD/Download  Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.   In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst.  [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.]  The form will appear on the right side of the screen. You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen. To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
What happens when you try to e-file?  Is it rejecting?  What is the rejection message?   Are you getting some sort of transmission error message?

oops, Wow, now I see by your original post that you did request an extension. The deadline is Oct 15, 2025.   You must add a sufficient cushion to prevent a second new excess. Using the other procedure (Form 5329) may be simpler and leaves the most money in your Roth IRA.   @Taxdog_2025

I’m not worried about using my AGI. I just want to know what changes on the record of account. I added self-employment to my amended tax return does that get reflected on the record of account? I need to know what are the actual changes I will see on my record of account after I have amended my return. Does my self-employment get added to the AGI or does it stay separated in the SE taxable income? Whoever responds please read my question carefully before answering to avoid confusion. THANK YOU!
You would need to check your bank account to see if the payment has been withdrawn. TurboTax does not take the payment out of your account, they transfer the information to the IRS and then the IR... See more...
You would need to check your bank account to see if the payment has been withdrawn. TurboTax does not take the payment out of your account, they transfer the information to the IRS and then the IRS withdraws the money from your account. 
You can try closing out of TurboTax and delete cookies and clear your cache and then sign back into your TurboTax account.   You can also try contacting TurboTax Customer service using this link:... See more...

In TurboTax Online, select Tax Home in the upper left hand corner of the screen.   Then click Your account at the bottom of the screen.

Did you (even accidentally) enter something about moving in 2024 when you entered information into MY INFO?   If your state is asking for dates you lived there....remember that you are working on a 2024 tax return.  The state is not asking for your entire history of living in the state. It is asking for the dates you lived there in 2024.

This question doesn't necessary refer to the foreign account scenario...   If tax is paid for the year in which it was accrued, but not paid, would it be correct to assume there would not have been a 1099-INT issued?  Therefore how do you reference that accrued interest in your return?     And if a 1099-INT was not issued for a year in which you declared the accrued interest, how do you explain the difference between the full amount of interest actually paid as shown on the 'final' 1099-INT issued at the time of maturity vs. the smaller amount accrued and paid in the tax year?

(Clear your Cache and Cookies) Check on your internet connection Try using a different web browser  If you are using TurboTax Desktop Make sure the software is updated.  If you haven't rebooted your computer, please do Check your firewall and antivirus settings. Make sure they aren't blocking any feature of the software.  ** If you are using the phone/tablet app, try changing to laptop/computer if possible. If you do not have access to a computer, switch to a web browser within your phone or tablet, and sign in from there.  If you are still having issues after trying these options, contact Customer Support by clicking the link below TurboTax Phone Number  
For a sole-proprietorship there isn't a box that says "Final Year" or anything on the schedule C.  You will just finish out the business and then not include it on the following year's return.   ... See more...

Background  My Canadian uncle passed away and left me an inheritance.  The money is being held (and is generating interest) in a bank account in Canada (probably in the name of the estate).  Once Revenue Canada issues a clearance certificate, the portion of the inheritance that my uncle wanted me to have will be distributed to me. I asked the company acting as the executor to wire it to my US account when that time comes.  A few months ago, I received a NR4 listing the interest that was generated during 2024.  I did not actually receive it yet since the inheritance has not yet been released, I assume that the interest was just kept in the estate bank account so that when I do get my distribution, it will include that interest.    Questions  Do I include that interest as income on Schedule B?  Since I am not the only beneficiary, and since I don’t have any signing authority over the estate account (and it’s probably not even in my name),  and since I have no real way of knowing what the highest value that the estate account had in it during the year, how am I supposed to complete the 8938?  I mean, I know that I have an “interest” in that account, but the value in that account also includes other beneficiaries' portions, so do I take the highest value and remove the other beneficiaries portion - reporting only mine?  Also should I leave the account number blank or enter ‘Unknown’. Do I have to report this account on the FBAR?
