Sorry but your answer is confusing to me. Got a 1099-R from MS which included a $50K amount I had distributed to myself. I sent it back to MS in less than 60 days but the original 1099-R does not reflect the "repayment". The question is where in TT do I enter the $50K repayment.

I reached out to TT support, once I they showed me how to review the return with worksheets I discovered there was a Schedule D tax worksheet and yes, I had qualified Div and long term capital gains. In the past I also had qualified div and capital gains but this worksheet, "D" did not affect my taxes due to this extent. Thank you, you are on point!

However, you may be able to report the sale of stock as an installment sale using the steps listed in this post from 2019. Note that the menus may have changed and your result may vary.

IF Windows 11, you can try a different Contrast Theme in the Windows "Settings"<<<"Accessibility" area. Mine is set at "None" and reads great. I tried all of the other 4 settings....one of them makes a bunch of text disappear in the TTX Forms selection screen....and another an almost unreadable yellow...the other two?..ehhh whatever.

You can file for her by just selecting I do not have a drivers license. If you do not have the AGI or access to her last years tax return, you can print and mail her return.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/
