Since you are in the forms mode in the return, go to your Form 1116.  Toward the top of the form, put a check mark that says Quick Zoom to Foreign Tax Credit Worksheet. Scroll down to 3(5). if you see an amount, you may delete it since the box is tan and editable. That should remove the duplicate entry.   Before, you do this, check the total at the bottom of the entry and look at total itemized deductions not definitely related.  If the total is $4722, then the calculation was done correctly. If it $9444, then there is a duplication issue but it should be remedied by deleting the dulicate entry in the way I described.   @catmouse40

Yes. Your federal tax return is sent to the IRS.  The IRS issues you the federal tax refund   Your state tax return is sent to your state tax authority.  The state issues you a state tax refund.

Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax? If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. What do I do when my data isn't imported into TurboTax Desktop even though it says successful import in my browser? If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954.   Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

Thanks - see it is hiding behind estimated taxes on state, requiring to go through that. On Federal, shows directly under Additional Tax Payments—and Estimated directly under other tax forms (both visible).  Would be nice if Turbotax was consistent.

Identify your Net Farm Profit:  look at your Schedule F line 34.  look at gains reported on 4797 from sale of farm assets.  combine the totals. This is the maximum amount you are allowed to average. Decide on the Amount: You don't have to average all of it. Most people enter their total net farm profit from 2025 in Box C(4) if they had a very successful year compared to the last three.  The goal of Box C(4) is to move money out of your current high tax bracket and "fill up" the lower, unused brackets from your 2022–2024 returns. If your income is lower than average, enter zero Caution: elected farm income cannot exceed  your 1040 line 15 total taxable income from all sources. Once you enter a number in C(4), TurboTax will take 1/3 of that amount and mentally "add" it to each of the three prior years to see if it saves you money.
