Thanks for your quick reply. I only have one W-2. I entered the medicare tax withheld box 6 correctly as 2202.19. I do not  Actually, TurboTax filled it in automatically and I reviewed it. I do not have an Additional Medicare Tax (Form 8959) nor do I require one. It just pulled that out of the blue when I got to the File stage. I've already wasted 2 hours, ugh! And if I don't click the upgrade for $79 button, I can't actually file. It's trying to force me to pay and I have a very simple return that meets all the criteria. How do I get past that page to actually file when it gives an incorrect prompt like that?

1. The IRS is matching amounts on your tax return and the description of tax treaty or 1042S income let's them know where to look. 2. If your income has already been reduced, you would not reduce it again. 3. NY does offer some credits and the program might have you qualifying for one - where maybe you shouldn't.   Take a look at your tax forms. You want to repot the correct income on your federal and state forms. While looking, you can see what NY is giving you for a credit.  To print or view  your forms, including all worksheets: In desktop, switch to Forms Mode. I have not heard of this particular error before. TurboTax Home & Business is designed to create only one Form 568 for a single member LLC.   Are you able to print the Form 568?    Form 568 must be filed by every LLC that is not taxable as a corporation if any of the following apply: The LLC is doing business in California. The LLC is organized in California. The LLC is organized in another state or foreign country, but registered with the California SOS. The LLC has income from California sources.   Form 568 can either be e-filed or mailed to:   Franchise Tax Board PO Box 942857 Sacramento, CA 94257-0501   In order for us to troubleshoot this issue, you can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions for TurboTax Desktop users:   From the black bar at the top of your screen, select Online Click Send Tax File to Agent Click Send on the message that pops up TurboTax will create a "sanitized" copy of your return information with no personal info Post the 7-digit token number here in this thread We will then be able to review your file to see what you are seeing, and we can determine what is going on in your return and provide you with a suggested resolution.

Mail the last two returns.  The five federal e-file limit is an IRS limit.   When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Yes, the same information is requested on Form IL-4644 that is entered on Schedule D when it is RSUs that you are dealing with (employer stock). Be sure you are entering only what is required in the state portion of your tax return.   What is the purpose of Form IL-4644?  This form is to report the gains from only the sale or exchange of securities of an employer that you received in a distribution from a qualified employee pension, profit-sharing, or stock bonus plan. Do not use this form for the sale or exchange of securities received as the result of the exercise of a stock option under an employee stock purchase plan.   You can print your return before you file using the steps below. This will give you a clearer picture of the tax return once you have completed your entries.   You have access to all forms when you choose to print your return in TurboTax Online/Mobile.  However you are required to pay before printing, but do not have to file until you are ready. Can I print a copy of my return in TurboTax Online before filing? If you are using TurboTax Desktop you can switch to Forms and review all forms and worksheets.   @apd2zn

I suggest that you contact the IRS and report suspected fraud.   "If you did not receive a notice but believe you've been the victim of identity theft, contact the IRS Identity Protection Specialized Unit at 800-908-4490, extension 245 right away so we can take steps to secure your tax account and match your SSN or ITIN."   You can ask them advice about filling your current return.   If you need more time, you can file for an extension with TurboTax. See TurboTax Desktop in How do I file an IRS tax extension?   Remember, an extension gives you more time to prepare your taxes, but it does NOT extend the time to pay your taxes. If you have an indication that you will owe taxes, you should make the payment to avoid additional interest and penalties This will give you until 15 October 2025 to file your taxes. You can also file a Free federal tax extension here You may have to do your state extension Do I need to file an extension for my personal state taxes?   If you owe taxes, you must pay by April 15th.   To file for extension in the TurboTax program On the menu bar on the left that shows. Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online?  You mentioned 'Print Center' which is an online feature.   If so, in the left-side menu, go to Tax Tools > Tools, then 'Delete a Form' from the pop-up window.  When the list of forms is displayed, delete Form 1116 and the worksheet.  Then clear your Cache and Cookies and step through the Foreign Tax Credit interview again to let Form 1116 (and Form 1116 AMT) repopulate.   If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS, click on 'Open Form' and type in 'Form 1116'.  Highlight it and 'Open Form'.  In the entry line at the bottom (under 'Create new copy' type in 'Form 1116 AMT', then 'Add Form'.   This should add the form to your return.   @hristoterezov

Did you follow the steps of Leticia and VolvoGirl above?     The refund is not affected by the method you choose to file by.  Whether it is e-filed or mailed, the refund would be the same.  Double check the entries at the end in the review and file section to be sure that you did not tell it to apply money to next years taxes.   If you are printing and mailing, are you using the desktop version?  If so, you can go to forms mode and look at the numbers, then go back and select e-file to see if anything changes.  It should not, unless something is selected to redirect the refund to next year.

Even though the 1099-K inputted as personal use items - all sold at a loss - had an error that needed to be resolved.  I skipped that and got to the point where I could print and submit my return.  This put the entry on the first line of Schedule 1 where it belonged.  Going this method rather than listing it as 1099B and doing the 8949 capital gains/loss multiple entry seems logical.  I sold 40 items on ebay - all small little yard sale type stuff.  It is not a business or a hobby of any kind!   Intuit needs to resolve the issue with 'item needs review' with no way to fix it as a 1099-K personal use items.
