No, they are not. They are reported on your W-2, do not enter anything under Roth IRA contributions unless you made outside of work contribution to a Roth IRA.

Thank you, I don't want to hassle with amending 2023 so I'll just pay the small amount of taxes again 😊

While TurboTax normally transfers carryovers from last year to your current return, it's possible this function wasn't successful for you this year.
If you believe you had a regular tax loss carry over from last year, you'll need forms from your prior year return.
Passive Loss Carryovers for Rental Activities are not reported on Schedule E. You will find the carryover for prior years on Form 8582, Part VII, column c. If you have always made a profit, this number may be zero.
To access your prior year return, see How do I view, download, or print a prior-year tax return?

You can't get a deduction for education expenses on your federal tax return. You may qualify for a credit for education expenses for college-level courses, but I don't believe that is what you are referring to. Your state may allow for something, if you can clarify what state you file in?

I also have the same problem about this topic. Based on the previous answer in forum, I entered the historical operating loss, but the error shows up and tell me that "amounts for each year should add up to no more than the total". The total in the system is the carryover loss in my 2023 tax return, but my 5 years loss is higher than my 2023 data. I cannot change the "total" number which is populated by the system? Anything wrong?

To enter income from a Form 1099-MISC that is not from working, in TurboTax Online, enter Form 1099-MISC information in the section to which it pertains. In Wages and Income, there are several locations where you can enter a Form 1099-MISC.
If you enter Form 1099-MISC in the Other Common Income section, at the screen "Does one of these uncommon situations apply?", a list of options appears from which you can select that includes reasons for Form 1099-MISC other than self-employed income.
You can enter Form 1099-MISC and identify that it was not income from business profit so that it doesn't get misclassified as self-employment income:
Select Income from Form 1099-MISC under Wages and Income.
Enter the payer information and dollar amount
Enter a description for the payment
When asked about Uncommon Reasons, select that none apply or select one that adequately explains the reason
When asked about the frequency of payment, select received in 2024
When asked "Did (description) involve an intent to earn money?" answer No (that is, it is not earned income and therefore not subject to self-employment tax)
In the alternative, you can enter the amount under Other Reportable Income. In TurboTax Online:
Go to Wages and Income
Scroll down to Less Common Income
Go to Miscellaneous Income
Select Other Reportable Income and follow the prompts. Enter a description for the reason for the payment.

Some things to keep in mind:
You must wait until your original return has been accepted to amend it.
Amend only if you need to make a change to a return you have already filed.
Wait until you get your refund or have paid your taxes. Have a copy of your original return at your side before you start. And be sure you use the correct year’s software of TurboTax.
You must file a separate Form 1040-X for each tax return you are amending.
Amended returns can take more than three months for the IRS to process.
Gather your original tax return and any new documents needed to prepare your amended return.
Print a copy of your return that you are amending and have it ready to refer to.
Use the same TurboTax account you used to file your original return.
Be sure to only make changes to the areas of your return that need amending.

Return to the rental property and edit the property info. Depending which version of TurboTax you are using, this could be at the top of the Rental Summary page as "rental property info" with a pencil icon to edit. Or it could be "Property Profile" with a Start/Update button to the right.
In either case, you should be able to edit the property address, including the city and state.

Thank you for the quick response. My parents are NOT claiming us as dependents this year. We are only listed on their 1095-A because we had coverage through the Marketplace for 7 months out of the year. Aside from that, we are not listed on our parents tax return. We should qualify for the American Opportunity Credit of $1000
