For your IRA distributions, you should have received Form 1099-R for each distribution.
When you input the information from each Form 1099-R into TurboTax, the taxable amount will automatically be calculated and transferred to Form 1040.
You do not need to do this manually.

Any distribution in 2025 must be on your 2025 tax return, so ignore any TurboTax missive that says otherwise. @tvlpaul

If you enter additional medical expenses, but the total still doesn't exceed the threshold for you to be able to benefit from deducting them, the message you mentioned will appear.
In TurboTax Online, to add medical expenses:
Go to Deductions & Credits.
Select I'll choose what I work on.
Go down to Medical.
Select Start or Update by Medical Expenses.
While you can deduct some of your medical expenses to reduce your taxable income, there are rules to keep in mind.
Whether you’re deducting your health insurance premiums or expensive hospital bills, you can deduct any medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI). This means that you can’t deduct any medical expenses if your total medical expenses don’t exceed 7.5% of your AGI. In addition, that amount plus other itemized deductions has to exceed your standard deduction in order for you to benefit from deducting them.
See this article for more information regarding deductible medical expenses.

When Turbotax goes to Check my entries it comes back and says "We found 1 area on your return where we'll need to review your entries". clicking on the Check Entries button takes me a Check This Entry page that shows my state information worksheet. It flags the first name (which is not wrong) and has a note at top of screen saying:
Information Worksheet: Form 1099-Q is still being worked on. Please return after it has been updated..
I thought at first it meant that I was missing something in my 1099-Q but now I wonder if what it is really saying is that 1099-Q in Turbotax is still being worked on and I need to return once they have updated Turbotax. I am on the latest version WinPerRelease 025.000.0245

You don't have to import your 1099's; there are multiple options to enter the second document into TurboTax, which can be found by navigating these steps:
Select Tax Home
Select Federal
Select Wages & Income
Select Investments and savings (Jump-to link)
Select (+) Add investments
On the screen headed Save time and connect your financial accounts, select the button Enter a different way
The next screen, How do you want to add your docs? will give you options for:
Upload - select a file from your PC, such as a scanned file of the 1099 or downloaded PDF, for TurboTax to pull in the data
Snap a photo - requires a smartphone; take a picture of the form(s) to automatically populate the data without a scanner
Import - to try this option again, or pull in additional investments
Type it in myself (underneath, next to Continue) - to type in the 1099 data manually

If there was tax withholding directly from your retirement distribution, it should be in Box 4 of your 1099-R. Be sure to enter it in TurboTax.

So sorry for your loss. If you are now filing as Single----did you start a new account for yourself? When you become single you should not try to use the old account that was used for past year joint returns. There is too much embedded information from your late spouse that will cause all kinds of errors for you. You need a new account with a different user ID now. Keep a record of how to access the "old" account---the information there will be saved for seven years.

"Expert" you are aware that microsoft extended security support for windows 10 for another year? I would hope so and I share the many comments TurboTax received about not wanting to use internet for this activity. I don't have a lot of faith in your ability to secure that data. You and Windows are in same boat - sinking!

Thank you for the quick reply! I now see that numerous persons have started multiple forum threads that are echoing my exact same issue. Hopefully Intuit will promptly address this obvious oversight. I’m used to TurboTax but won’t hesitate to transition my patronage to another online tax-filing software platform if they don’t address this error. Have a great day and thanks again!

File > Import > financial Institution and put in TIAA. There are three choices (plus a fourth one that's a bug) and there should only be 1 choice. The first choice (retirement, etc) the one I want, tries the authentication handshake (in Chrome) and fails every time (I know I have the correct credentials and have tried several times, including aftre turning off two factor for a short bit of time to test). the authentication handshake never works. so I cannot get it. Seems like 1. There should only be one TIAA listed since there is only one login place at TIAA.org, and 2, it should work. If you take the second choice (Portfoliio) they keep making a moving target as to twhen the forms will be available when the 1099-R forms have been available since Jna 24 on their website.

"5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site. If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.
You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

If you have property taxes to enter on more than one parcel of land, add the amounts together to enter them in the property tax section of Schedule A. Both the Online and Desktop versions of TurboTax provide one line to enter the property tax on additional properties besides the main residence on Schedule A.
Schedule A on the tax return provides one line, 5b, for state and local real estate taxes.

The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO. You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)
The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction. It is shown separately.
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
(The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)
The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it.

If you are not getting the senior deduction it is because
Your date of birth in MY INFO shows that you were not 65 by the end of 2025
Your income is too high
You are filing married filing separately
