The page is titled, "We just need your OK on a couple of things". But I don't want to give them my OK, I want to skip that. When I filed my original return, I was able to get past this optional step, but for the ammendment, I am stuck on it.
You should choose the Taxes and State tax withheld option. You will then see a drop down menu where you can enter the taxes paid and assign them to Minnesota.

Yes, if you are saying that in 2024 6,369 posted in Box 5, but the tuition that this will cover is for the first three months of 2025 and the tuition for those three months are not on Form 1098-T, yes you can allocate that 6,369 to 2025.   If entering in TurboTax, use the option of "Part of the scholarships in Box 5 are not for 2024" however if you are not applying for an education credit, and the turion is all covered by a tuition reduction, and there is no excess scholarship, you needn't enter Form 1098-T.     Keep in mind that next year the 6,369 on the 2025 1098-T for the tuition your allocating to this 6,369 cannot be claimed a second time.  Box 1 on the 2025 1098-T would need to have Box 1 reduced by 6,369.    Keep a copy of the school statement with the student's tax file.
I don't want to wade thru the inputs that are already on last years taxes.

My father was paid by insurance for long term disability but was required to file for SS disability which took a while. He was eventually approved but then required to pay back the insurance company. Which he did with the social security money he got this year. He was taxed on what was paid from insurance, should be also be taxed on what SS disability paid that he had to pay back to insurance?

If you did not receive the Advance Premium Tax Credit and do not qualify for the credit, a form 8962 would not be filed or need to be filed.  I don't know any details from your tax return.  You could try deleting your Form 1095-A information and re-enter it.
I went back to revisit credits. Then I entered that I had no energy credits to claim. TT then said it was going to delete existing. I ok'ed that.  Then I started over fresh.
It is free once a year for one return only.

They have added an option on the page where it asks if the 1099-R is an IRA, a 403(b) or Other. The new check box added to the top of the list on that page is something like "Box is unfilled" or blank or something. Chose that instead of Other and voila. Finally, after weeks of waiting I can file electronically--which is kind of the whole point of this endeavor.   One can tell it is a kluge because the new checkbox is kind of crammed into the web page design. but it works.
Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. How do I track my state refund?
Code L is a loan treated as a distribution.   Which means it’s taxable.  Ask your employer or 401K plan why you got a 1099R.   You don’t get a 1099R for loans.
