Since your W-2 Box 1 doesn't break these down, you should look at your final Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) for the tax year:   Look for the "Year-to-Date" (YTD) column. Identify the specific line items for Basic Pay earned during Drill (Inactive Duty) and Annual Training. You only want to enter the portion of Box 1 that represents the Drill and Annual Training pay. When the software asks for your "National Guard or Reserve Annual Training and Drill Pay": Do NOT enter the full Box 1 amount if that box includes your boot camp pay. If you do, South Carolina may flag the return because your deduction would look like 100% of your income, including types that aren't eligible. Enter only the sum of your Drill Pay and Annual Training Pay.

Supposedly the problem has been fixed in 2025. I cannot efile my taxes because Turbotax wants info about carry forward business deductions/credits to complete 3800. These carry forward deductions/credits are net "0" on my 2025 return and will never be realized. I am no longer in the business LLC. I no longer have the info requested but it begs the question, "Why doesn't Turbotax still have the info  since data is continually being taken from previous years?"  I will not be able to efile in the future until the problem is fixed. I just mailed my returns. Turbotax support is just canned replies. I will delete all previous Turbotax returns and data and start fresh next year; probably with a different tax service.
For example, the options under Sales Section do not appear on my 1099-B.

Enter the federal employer identification number (FEIN) in the state field.  Do not put any dash and leave no spaces between the numbers. This should allow you to move forward and there's no need for concern.    Please update here if you would like further assistance and we will help.   @DanTheMan

Thanks.  I was reluctant to use the Online version, but a link from my ETrade account offered a discount.  I followed the link and it essentially started my return.  I needed Premiere.  Off I went. I like the look and feel of the desktop version better, although not having to wait every time for TT to load updates was helpful.

This has to do with the 1099-DIV of the Consolidated Forms 1099. I contacted our Wells Fargo Advisor and he said the following: "The good news is that the sum of box 1a and 12 are identical on both, so at least all the data is there.  Just need to figure out why TurboTax is categorizing the data differently than WFA." What he is talking about is I pointed out the differences from the hard copy and the downloaded data. IRS box 1a is Total Ordinary Dividends, IRS box 12 is Exempt-Interest Dividends. He was correct but the other IRS boxes have different amounts when you compare them.

Thank you so much for the screen shots.  I was very hesitant to follow the descriptive instructions as I am not PC savy enough to feel comfortable deleting programs.  I just downloaded desktop TurboTax 2025 today and ran into the same problem everyone else is describing.  How is possible that TurboTax is not addressing this head on with some sort of ALERT or communication or better yet resolving the issue so users don't have to figure it out or heaven forbid sit on hold with Customer Support only to be left with no resolution.  Maybe when that Error Box pops up it should include the instructions related to C++ in the box!!!!  So much time wasted just trying to download/start program.
It was submitted on January 27th   No problem let's hope the process starts moving for everyone!
It was in the download version last year but not in the online version now.

The entry below may resolve your current experience. You can report it in the year they are deemed to be completely worthless. This usually happens when a company stops doing business or files bankruptcy.  You should be prepared with your proof and retain it in your tax file.   The sales price would be zero and the cost basis would be what you actually paid for the stock and December 31st as the date of sale    To enter worthless stock as investment sales: (You should use the description as 'Worthless'.) Open (continue) your return in TurboTax. In the search box, search for investment sales then click the "Jump to" link in the search results. Answer Yes to the question Did you sell any investments? If you land on the Here's the investment sales we have so far screen, click Add More Sales. Answer No to the 1099-B question and select 'Other' as the Investment Type, Name is Worthless XXX On the next screen, select the type of sale you had (stock, second home, collectible, land etc.) and click Continue. Continue following the onscreen instructions to enter the sale.  Helpful Information: IRS FAQ -Worthless Security Please update here if you have additional questions after your use these steps. This is just to make it clear that I have not received help of any value since my original post on Sunday. There's no way that I can find to get help on this issue outside of posting here, unless I pay for live support. Customers should not have to upgrade to live support to get help when Turbo Tax has a product error. I give Turbo Tax zero stars, and will likely never use the product again unless they find a way to resolve my issue quickly and improve their communication.

I'm having the same problem: a 1099-NEC that has no state tax ID number but TurboTax wants something in the box 6 field.  I contacted the employer, a non-profit, who says there is no state ID number.  Employer provided some kind of ID number, which I entered.  TurboTax seemed happy as long as field wasn't blank.  No state tax was withheld, so blank there ($0) is accurate.  Other discussions said to just put the Federal ID number there.   Any assistance appreciated.
