I note that Intuit's interface says: "Questions are answered within a few hours on average." That does not seem to be happening.

It appears you're using TurboTax Desktop. Go to Federal Taxes >> Wages & Income >> Rental Properties and Royalties. If you have already entered a rental property, click Edit to review your entries. Otherwise, add a property by following the interview to set up a new rental property.
Depending on the version of TurboTax you are using, you should eventually arrive on the Rental Summary page. From this page you can enter Rental Income or Expenses (click Start/Update).
Note that your entries create a Schedule E Worksheet (a TurboTax worksheet, not an IRS form) that displays your entries. This worksheet can be manually edited for any field highlighted in yellow. When you set up a rental asset, that information is shown on the Asset Entry Worksheet.
The result of completing the Rental Property entries is reported on Schedule E page 1, Part I.

Per IRS:
If you contacted your employer and still don't have your W-2, call us at 800-829-1040.
Have your information ready so we can help you:
Name, address and phone number
Social Security or individual tax ID number
Dates when you worked for the employer
Employer's name, address and phone number
We'll contact your employer and request the missing W-2.
We'll also send you a copy of Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. You can use this to file your tax return without your W-2.

W-2's come from your employer, and they have until January 31 to issue it. Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it. Some employers have payroll sites that will have your W-2. You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

You can get a wage and income transcript from the IRS: It will not show the actual W-2, 1099’s, etc, but will show the income information the IRS received. It will not, however, show your state information. It will only show the federal information.

The most confusing part to me is that, on IT-196 instruction for 2024:
Lines 5 through 7
If, on your federal income tax return, you claimed an itemized deduction for state and local taxes you paid, enter the applicable amounts from federal Schedule A, lines 5a, 5b, and 5c. -> But this should NOT include NY state and local taxes included in 5a, 5b or 5c, is this correct?
I'd appreciate it if you could answer this question.
You include everything from your federal schedule A. Even state and local taxes. Because the NY state and local taxes are subtracted back out on line 41. Lines 1-20 are essentially a restatement of your federal schedule A as-is, and lines 21-48 are New York specific additions and subtractions, including a subtractions for NY state and local taxes which are not deductible in NY.

Hello, I filed my taxes yesterday and it seems like it was accepted by the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board but, I’m concerned that it might be flagged for missing the Form 7206: Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction. I’m not sure how to check if the form was even transmitted to the IRS because it doesn’t show in the column that lists all Federal Forms. I have a desktop version of TurboTax. When I printed the return, the form 7206 was missing so I went for a search field to locate the form. When I tried to open the 7206 form it opened as it appears a 7206 WORKSHEET. instead. And the total amount paid in 2024 for self employed health insurance coverage Line 1, 3 and Line 14 are BLANK! Line 14 instructs to enter Self Employed Health insurance Deduction there and on Schedule 1 Form 1040 Line 17. Line 17 on schedule 1 appears to have the correct amount so, why is Form 7206 worksheet is missing this information on line 1, 3 and 14 ? Then, there’s a footnote on this 7206 worksheet stating ”a self-employed health insurance deduction of $7,460 from premiums paid trough exchange is included as an adjustment to income but doesn’t appear on this worksheet “ I don’t understand why TurboTax didn’t generated or asked me to fill out any information on Form 7206 but, produced 7206 worksheet with missing amounts and a footnote? What should I do now? Wait and see if IRS contacts me and asks me to provide this form or should I go ahead and amend the return? Tried to contact TurboTax to speak to a live person but couldn’t unless paying a fee! I can’t believe that to ask this technical question one has to pay a fee!!! I don’t need a tax expert I need technical support and couldn’t get any. Has anyone else encountered this problem and what was your solution? Can someone from TurboTax support team help me with this issue?

It depends. You can use a 'Single' rental approach or the Multi-Unit approach. Review each below.
Single Rental:
You can split the cost of the duplex either in half if both sides are pretty equal in size or you can use the square feet of the rented portion divided by the total square feet of the duplex. This does require you to allocate costs that affect the entire home. It also allows you to enter all of your direct rental expenses 100% on your rental income Schedule E.
For the rented part of the duplex asset entry: Use the tax assessment from the city or county to arrive at the part of the cost for the land. In your rental duplex you can just enter the rental portion of the building without including any land cost.
For your rental duplex portion, enter the cost as determined above and indicate it is used 100% for rental purposes and leave your part of the duplex out. If you choose the method you should select 'Single' family home. Only the depreciation will be recaptured when and if you sell in the future.
There is no differentiating when you enter it this way, and all of your direct expenses are accounted for at 100%.
If you do choose to select Multi-unit property see the 'Key Points' below.
Key Points: TurboTax will prorate the personal portions of expenses that cover the entire property (mortgage interest, property tax and insurance). The other expenses will be used at 100% assuming they are for the rental unit only. Be sure to check your return once you complete the rental activity.
If you decide to use this, then enter the entire cost of the duplex and land in the asset entry.
You have access to all forms when you choose to print your return in TurboTax Online/Mobile. However you are required to pay before printing, but do not have to file until you are ready.
Can I print a copy of my return in TurboTax Online before filing?
If you are using TurboTax Desktop you can switch to Forms and review all forms and worksheets.
