No.   For 2025, charity donations are still going on Schedule A with any other itemized deductions like mortgage interest or property tax, etc.   For next year on your 2026 return--that you file in 2027---there will be a deduction of up to $1000 for single filers or up to $2000 on a joint return for charity cash donations that do not go on Schedule A.

A cash contribution to a charity when using the Standard Deduction will be available on the 2026 tax returns being filed in 2027,

No. For the 2025 tax year, charitable contributions are itemized deductions on Schedule A. If your standard deduction is higher than your itemized deductions, you will not have any itemized deductions on your tax return.

 

Beginning in the 2026 tax year, individuals can deduct up to $1,000 ($2,000 if married filing jointly) for cash contributions to qualified charities, even when taking the standard deduction.
