No federal deduction or credit is available for teens participating in driver's education. However, there are a few state credits and deductions available. Both Iowa and Minnesota offer a deduction of all fees paid to driving instructors under their K-12 education deduction programs. Georgia also offers parents a credit once a child has successfully completed a driver's education program.
Check with your state comptroller or board of revenue website to search for deductions and credits specific to your state you may be able to deduct it on your state income tax, if you live in a state with income taxes.

There is not a drivers education expense deduction on a Georgia state tax return.
I live in Georgia.
I see the line item on Turbo Tax 2018 under Other Credits and Driver Education Credit.
However, for Turbo Tax 2019 this line is not listed under Other Credits. Turbo Tax, what is going on??

The Georgia Driver Education Credit - Tax Credit 205
For tax year 2019 - The Driver Education Credit has been repealed and therefore is no longer available.
Georgia website for individual tax returns - https://dor.georgia.gov/500-individual-income-tax-return
Can you please indicate a website, source, etc. that states the State of Georgia repealed the tax credit for private driver education courses? I have not heard that and not seeing any news about such a repeal.
I am also not finding where to claim this credit in TurboTax, which is frustrating....!

It will not be in 2019 Georgia state TurboTax program since it is no longer included in the state of Georgia tax code.
Look at the 2019 Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return on this GA website - https://dor.georgia.gov/500-individual-income-tax-return
It is a PDF so it will open with your PDF viewer. Scroll down to the pages for credits and find IND-CR 205 Driver Education Credit. The page shows that it has been repealed.
I'm really surprised it wasn't in the news at all that Georgia repealed the $150 tax credit for drivers education
Agreed that I would have thought it have gotten some attention in the media, but it doesn't seem like that was the case. There is one interesting piece of information about a state Senate study a few years ago suggesting changes to the credit because of its low use, http://www.senate.ga.gov/sro/Documents/StudyCommRpts/AppendixD_FRCDriverEducationTaxCreditEvaluation...
Thanks for sharing that information. That was most helpful to see where the DOR shows that the credit has in fact been repealed. I appreciate your efforts to share that!
I have the same question. Where do I input this $150 Driver Education Credit for the stat of GA
